Graduate by Hilton Evanston

A lovely old-school hotel very conveniently located for a visit to Northwestern. The room was on the smaller side but decently appointed, the shower was nicely updated while keeping its classic aesthetic. As it’s an older building the elevator is small and slow, but a minor inconvenience. It’s on a fairly quiet residential street though shops and restaurants are just a block away.

I've stayed here twice with my dog while attending weekend classes at Northwestern. The location is very convenient, which I appreciate. However, the cleanliness of the rooms leaves a lot to be desired. Both times I’ve found hair on the towels and pillows, which is disappointing. I always pay the extra pet fee for my miniature poodle (who doesn’t shed, by the way), and I’m happy to do so—but it’s frustrating that this fee doesn’t seem to go toward maintaining a cleaner room. I hope the housekeeping standards improve, because this hotel has a lot of potential otherwise.

The Graduate Hotel in Evanston is an adorable boutique hotel that is top notch from their interior design to friendly staff. Love how close it is to Northwestern College and all the great restaurants.
