Family friendly Hotels in Hanoi

The hotel is in a great location in the Old Quarters with everything just a walking distance away. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. It’s a newly renovated hotel so everything was new and clean. Some work is still ongoing but not enough to be a bother. Special mention to Patrick who gave us a list of places to go to and was helpful with any questions we had.

We have visited more than 50 countries and always stay at top hotels. For us, Cappella Hanoi easily ranks in the top five anywhere - for comfort, high quality service, professionalism and friendliness throughout. Everyone from the General Manager all the way to the waiters, the Front Desk, Spa personnel, etc., were just fantastic. The Spa treatments and the Michelin-Star Japanese restaurant ”Koki” were unique experiences. My wife and I really enjoyed our memorable stay.

Harry and Tom at the front desk were super helpful and we had a fantastic time in the old quarter. The hotel is located in a back lane, we enjoyed the feel of the city hustle. We are a family of 4 with two young kids. There’s a few worthwhile spots nearby - Roses Travel Agency, the massage place staffed by blind people, some good bahn mi (sic) and bun chau (sic, I’m not sure of the spelling for these). Also, definitely recommended bringing AUD, EUR, or USD notes and exchanging here. The exchange rates in some of the local hotels/travel agencies/etc are close to commercial currency exchange rates, far superior to exchange rates from western banks.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staffs. The room are very clean comfortable. Good breakfast with variety of choices. Excellent service from the club lounge team especially Thao, Thuy and Anh. Overall have a wonderful experience at Intercontinental Landmark 72.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi and the customer experience was wonderful from end-to-end. Upon reaching the hotel we were warmly greeted by the reception team who had some welcome drinks and seamlessly checked us in. we enjoyed the view and our drinks from the Infinity bar. The reception staff looked after us well during our stay with exchanging currency for us. We would particularly like to recognise the concierge Huyen Tran who was truly remarkable with her customer service to us during our stay. She provided us with a wealth of information, guidance and handy tips for our stay in Hanoi. She gave us the timetable for Train Street and the recommended bar/restaurant to get a great view, recommended a number of shops where I could find a particular t-shirt that I was after, helped us with multiple currency exchanges, found my wife’s lost sunglasses that she had left in the ground floor bar and had then returned to our room on top of the mini bar, retrieved my wife’s scarf that she left at the poolside bar and had it waiting for her to collect. She even had bandaids for me to patch up my wound when I had cut my hand. Huyen, thank you so much. You were truly a delight to talk with and are truly an asset to the Accor group. Facilities wise, there was a lovely pool with the really cool Cabana Club bar next to it on level 4. Mangosteen restaurant put out a great breakfast buffet every morning with plenty of local, international and traditional breakfast options in a fine dining setting. Lounge 83 on the ground floor had really comfortable couches and a classy intimate setting playing soothing music in the background. Every day at 5pm they had Chocolate Hour where they put out a chocolate fountain and plenty of sweet treats all for free for hotel guests. The Classic King Room that we stayed in was very clean, well appointed with great amenities. The two most important things about the room were well addressed. First, the bed was so comfortable that we had a good night’s sleep and felt well rested. It was like sleeping on a cloud. Second, the shower had excellent water pressure, regardless of whether you used the traditional shower head or the rain shower (which was my preferred option), was instantly hot and was quite spacious. Feeling clean and feeling well rested are two of the most important aspects in my opinion. Location-wise, the hotel is very conveniently located a few minutes walk from the Old Quarter, about 10 minutes walk from Train Street, 10 minutes from Lake Hoan Kiem, and only 200 metres away from one of the best restaurants in Hanoi which is Quan An Ngon. Every staff member that we interacted with at the hotel was friendly, helpful and a joy to be around. We really enjoyed our time at the Movenpick and look forward to returning there in the future. The service is consistent and professional throughout. It has been, in fact, enhanced since my previous stay during it's opening year. For one, the executive lounge is in full swing, albeit plagued by occasional inconsiderate guests who talk for prolonged periods on their mobile phones or book the meeting room for the purpose of dining with their friends on the pretext of discussing work. The lobby moniterance can be more effective i.e. enforcing orderly conduct and behaviour over rowdy and aggressive mainland Chinese tourists. Devices and voices should be kept to a minimum in public spaces to maintain proper decorum. The hotel ground staff need to be more vigilant in this regard. That said, the service staff are to be highly commended. The Guest Experience Manager, Ms. Hannah, is extremely approachable and knowledgeable. She provided me with valuable tips on places of interests within the city and beyond. She always makes herself available and is often seen interacting passionately with guests around the property. Certainly, the executive lounge staff, Lucas, Kevin, Audrey, Estee, Lynn and Crystal are very attentive and guest-centric. No request is ever overwhelming for them and they portray the executive lounge to a very high standard. I was touched by staff who recognised me though my previous stay was some two years back. Concierge, Mr. Ku, welcomed me warmly with his sincere and genuine hospitality style. The Duty Manager, Mr. Harry, did his best to resolve my room issues and was always following up diligently on my preferences. Front Office staff, Ellen and Anna, who were also present since the opening of the hotel, maintain their friendly and charming dispositions. The lobby bar staff are impressive, with dedicated staff like Duc and Mr. Thang, the outlet manager, who remembered me by name and concocted a special ginger/lemongrass tea when he found out that I had a dry throat. Our stay at Vinhomes was very pleasant and comfortable. The owner was quick to respond and update regarding the check in process. Most amenities were provided aside from toothbrushes/toothpaste, which was great for us as we had quite a bit of laundry to be washed. Location was just 3 mins walk to Vincom shopping mall where all necessities and shopping can be done! Really enjoyed our stay at Vinhomes, will be back next time :)

The furniture is shabby, there is a bit of toilet drain smell and the place is not clean. There is too much traffic from the direction of the balcony, and the bedroom curtains are not enough to block light. The location where I live is very convenient. There are large shopping malls, and dining and shopping are very convenient.

Clean and spacious apartment. The landlord prepared a nice apartment for me. The money I spent was worth it. I recommend booking a room here. Thanks to the landlord for helping me to have a smooth business trip. The car service was very good. The restaurant you recommended to me was very delicious. I will recommend this place if my friends come to Vietnam. Have a lucky day.

If you are an international traveler avoid this place. Finding the main reception building was a challenge even for the taxi driver as there was no signage. No convenience store or anything within the convention center campus or nearby. The reception staff was curt and demanded deposit in cash as the pos machine it seems didnt function. And she wanted to hold my passport as guarantee which is ridiculous. The room was basic. No working desk. Toiletries were substandard. Only couple of hangers to put ones clothes. Tiny fridge with just two bottles of water, a red bull and a coke ( for which they demand 100$ cash deposit)!!. TV channels didn't work. Restaurant and room orders closes by 9.30pm. So one have to sleep hungry if you dont stock food or eat dinner early. Morning breakfast is very thin spread and they begin to clear up by 9.30am. I asked for an additional coffee packet (3-in-1) and they refused and said no more!! The only positive is the ambience of the lawns outside the villas. The property is better for budget conscious tour groups who want to stay put in one villa, home style. Business visitors should avoid this place.
