gps brings you to a totally different place! absolutly annoying when arriving at night and have to find your way in these narrow lanes. nice welcome once you arrive, however as a disapointment, the restaurant on site was closed... so again out of the gate and depending on the gps to find your way back after dinner... however the most annoying feature of this place is the 1030 check out time - totally unacceptable!

The resort was beautifully presented, our room was comfortable and included a spa and fireplace. Staff at Masseria San Francesco went out of their way to make us feel special as well as comfortable, to see that our stay for my husband's birthday was special.

Beautyfull Masseria, well located (12 minutes to Monopoli, 25 minnutes to Polignano a Mare or Ostuni) Delicious breakfast served outside, wonderful , well kept gardins. Very pleasent staff. Lunch and dinner are also excellent. Highly recommended 5*

The entire staff (including Raffaella at the reception, Giacomo and Bridgetta at the bar, amongst others in the dining and pool area, and spa) were all so welcoming, that it felt like a home away from home. The whole ground and property is very beautiful in an amazing location in Puglia, and we’ll definitely come back!

To celebrate my husband’s birthday we booked a week stay at the Masseria San Francesco & it was the most magical stay in our 15 days in Puglia. The property was absolutely gorgeous, all decked out in lush neutral colours, well appointed furnishings & tasteful decor. The pool was such an added bonus on really warm days, even this October! Having food available onsite meant on days we wanted to stay poolside we didn’t have to leave the property. You definitely need a car to come here to stay. Savelletri is a small town with a few restaurants that is conveniently located only 10 minutes away. Masseria San Francesco was an absolute dream! We were actually sad to leave!

I left this property in TEARS due to the lack of care and rudeness of the front desk staff, if you don’t believe me, just look at how they respond to criticism from other guests. It’s a list of excuses and retaliation comments. This is not customer service! If your business is to run a hotel learn how to apologize and fix your mistakes with guests. Cons: 1. If you need steady WiFi connection, stay else wear. I told the front desk staff several times the WiFi was not working. They said it’s just how it is there basically. I think at this price, they should fix the WiFi on their property. 2. I agree with the reviews stating that the ac is not strong enough. 3. I have traveled many places in Europe/Italy- this was the hardest bed and pillows I have ever experienced. 4. Worst of all we booked a room with a spa tub. The tub jets were black with mold. When I sent them photos and told them (first line of my email was thanking them for our stay) they BLAMED ME for not “telling them sooner” and said it was “oxidation”. I went to check out and was in tears… the girl at the front desk even admitted the response from her colleague to me was rude. I asked for my email and photos to be sent to the property manager. NO ONE EVER reached out to me… BUT: they offered for ME to call THEM on my vacation. Unbelievable. I wasn’t going to post this review then decided others should know that if you have an issue they will find excuses and ways to blame you. I have never left a negative review on any hotel or restaurant ever. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I once stayed in a hotel in London with mold in bathroom and AC unit. When I politely told the manager on our second day, they upgraded our room and gave us free champagne. Seriously this property needs to learn customer service. Would you want to bathe in this tub?? Pros: beautiful property, one of the front desk ladies was actually nice, well located.

This masseria was exceptional. If I can give it more then a five star - I would. The rooms where beautiful and spotless - very spacious and I loved the decor. Modern with a traditional twist. The food was AmazIng. Breakfast lunch and dinner. They offered us a free buffet dinner on Aug 17th which was a bonus for us! I was worried about my twins boys that did not like anything on the menu. But they offered pasta and chicken for the kids. The staff was outstanding. I would definitely go back next year.

I recently stayed at Masseria San Francesco in July, and I regret to say that my overall experience was quite disappointing. In a region abundant with Masserias, this particular establishment falls short of expectations, especially considering the price point. Despite the charming surroundings of Puglia, there are far better options available. During an intense heatwave, none of the air conditioning units in our rooms were functional, leaving us in uncomfortably hot conditions. Despite multiple complaints to the reception, no action was taken to remedy this issue. Our kitchen was infested with ants originating from the fridge and sink, which forced us to go out and purchase our own cleaning products and mosquito plugs to address the situation. This infestation made it impossible to use the kitchen for meal preparation. Despite bringing this matter to the attention of the front desk staff daily, a solution was never provided. Additionally, an unpleasant odor came from the shower drains, which was particularly unwelcome given the high temperatures. The swimming pool, a potential respite from the heat, was disappointingly dirty throughout my entire 7-day stay. There was no visible effort to clean or maintain it. What truly spoiled my experience, however, was the attitude of the staff, particularly during breakfast service. Their consistent lack of hospitality and warmth made guests, including myself, feel unwelcome and uncomfortable on a daily basis. Furthermore, it's worth mentioning that the establishment charged an additional €50 euros a day for a bed that could barely sleep a child. Considering we paid 4000 euros for a 7-night stay, one could easily find superior alternatives in the region. Masserias like Torre Coccaro, Don Luigi, and Masseria Montenapoleone, for instance, truly take care of and value their guests. In light of these issues, I cannot recommend Masseria San Francesco as a desirable accommodation option in Puglia. It is my hope that the management addresses these concerns promptly to ensure a more pleasant stay for future guests.
