Reception: we had booked a 3-person room with two beds. Got a room with one bed. After a while, after complaints, they split the bed into two and arranged new bedding. Pool: we wanted to have a pre-dinner drink in the poolbar. We had to wait 15 minutes for someone to serve us. Dinner: Unexperienced staff were hovering over us all the time. At one point two people were standing 20 cms from the table just looking at us. When we actually needed help from them they had to ask the head waiter for everything who walked around like some petty king pretending to manage a fine dining establishment. He insisted to speak English to us which was completely un-understandable - although we speak good Italian. We ordered wine by the glass - got ca 7-8 cl at the bottom of a wineglass. I asked for more and then got to pay for ” double portion”. In total very pretentious and overpriced compared to the quality of the food. Breakfast: Decent breakfast buffet but again the staff were beginners and had (another) pretentious petty king telling them what to do. Although it was a buffet you had to wait in line to point at what you wanted, bread, cheese, everything. Even in the most luxurious of hotels that does never happen /Maria
