Reception: we had booked a 3-person room with two beds. Got a room with one bed. After a while, after complaints, they split the bed into two and arranged new bedding. Pool: we wanted to have a pre-dinner drink in the poolbar. We had to wait 15 minutes for someone to serve us. Dinner: Unexperienced staff were hovering over us all the time. At one point two people were standing 20 cms from the table just looking at us. When we actually needed help from them they had to ask the head waiter for everything who walked around like some petty king pretending to manage a fine dining establishment. He insisted to speak English to us which was completely un-understandable - although we speak good Italian. We ordered wine by the glass - got ca 7-8 cl at the bottom of a wineglass. I asked for more and then got to pay for ” double portion”. In total very pretentious and overpriced compared to the quality of the food. Breakfast: Decent breakfast buffet but again the staff were beginners and had (another) pretentious petty king telling them what to do. Although it was a buffet you had to wait in line to point at what you wanted, bread, cheese, everything. Even in the most luxurious of hotels that does never happen /Maria

Cave Bianche is situated in an old quarry, its attractive buildings made from the tufa stone, which was quarried here. The grounds are attractively landscaped, there is a beautiful pool - and bar - and the staff are solicitous and friendly. Colazione is the standard Italian fare, included in the room price. The two dinners I ate there were excellent - the hotel kitchen knows what is doing and delivers wonderful Sicilian fish and seafood dishes. There is a shuttle service to town and also for ferry pickup and drop off. Given the spontaneity of my booking - and the excellent room price I received - I am a very happy customer! I would love to return….

The hotel is situated in a quiet side of the island and away from the hustle of the town. Rooms are comfortable and the air-conditioning works perfectly. A comfortable pool with a well-stocked bar. However if you plan to go about think about transport because taxis are difficult to get. I have to mention the staff of the hotel here because they just can't do enough for you and are always ready to help with a big smile.

The hotel is nicely designed and located in a former quarry. The bar service and the pool were wonderful, as was the selection at breakfast. The staff at the reception were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the hotel is located several kilometers outside the town - and the only place to rent bicycles or motorbikes is in town. Because of it's location, the hotel might consider renting bicycles themselves, as the coordination of arrival and getting transportation were rather inconvenient.

The hotel is unique and has a lot of potential.. drain in shower plugged. Staff not very friendly . 4 star hotel and no coffee machine, charge for all water, no conditioner no body lotion. Property has no life, no color, no atmosphere. Pool opens late closes early… nothing else to do at the hotel… breakfast was rushed and unfriendly . Would have been nice to have bikes to rent as location is not near anything and not enough to do at the property.

We went for a romantic dinner. Location unique, - 14 meters A particular mention for the staff, they are super! Dishes delicious and perfectly abbinated with the right wine! Reccomended for everyone, specific for couples. A different dinner

We have traveled to over 90 countries and this stay scores in our top 5! This hotel was located in a very unique - in the bottom of a quarry. The buildings are interwoven with the stone cuttings and walls making for an amazing setting. The room was extremely large for European standards. Very clean and very well maintained. The staff were amazing They went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. I felt like they treated us like family. Francesca, Gandolfo, Rino and Veronica were the best front desk staff we have ever dealt with! The food was amazing there too! Such a nice dining setting and great staff too! Definitely a shout out to our waiter Grizano for taking such great care of us! Great service! The pool staff/bartenders were great too! Rooms were nicely cleaned by the housekeeping staff and they always said hello when walking by. Made us some yummy drinks. We said we didn’t need to go anywhere and could have stayed at the hotel the whole time and would have had a wonderful stay!
