Blue Heron Inn

Beautiful B&B in Amelia Island. The rooms were warm and inviting. Delicious breakfast and walkable up all Resturants and attractions. Would stay again.

Fantastic stay at the Blue Heron Inn! Incredible breakfasts, wonderful conversations with the innkeeper and other guests and walking distance to downtown.

First off let me say that I have stayed in this inn several times while under the ownership of someone else. Julie and David were amazing hosts who payed attention to their guests needs and wants. Not the case under new management. Our party felt like we were rushing our hostess the entire time we were there. Never in all of my years staying in B&Bs have I had my breakfast on the table prior to seating! Sunday morning we were left so she could get to church, ok, but this is a big part of what your guests are paying for. The rooms are not as accommodating as could be either. No place for toiletries in several of the bathrooms. Sign in the front yard of the Inn says it all, by 2 nights get 3rd free!

This B&B is well kept and convenient to the downtown area. Susan, the Manager, was pleasant, helpful and prepared wonderful breakfasts. There is a pool, which was very nice, but during our stay the weather was not warm enough to use it. However, the rocking chairs on the front porch got lots of use from us.We stayed in the only room on the first floor and would highly recommend it as it has a beautiful bathroom with a large walk-in shower, is convenient to the back door for loading and unloading the car, and has a king-size bed. There were only two negatives: 1. you have to like blue herons, as the blue heron decor is everywhere and a bit overdone; and 2. The TV system is terrible...very difficult to find anything you're interested in seeing. The price was reasonable and slightly less than some others in the area. All in all, I recommend staying at The Blue Heron Inn!

Best B and B ever! The hospitality was A+. The inn is gorgeous with lots of antiques tastefully used. Hosts Rebecca and Charles are delightful. Innkeeper Melinda became our friend, reservation maker, cook, server. A real asset to the inn. The food is exquisite. The sheets and towels are the best! Ordering both. The front porch with porch swing was heavenly.. The only thing…it’s difficult getting in and out of tub/shower combos. A bathroom renovation is planned for May ‘25. Then the inn will be perfect,

Blue Heron is located perfectly among shopping and restaurants. We walked everywhere. This was our second visit to the Blue Heron. The innkeeper, Susan, was amazing! Her breakfasts were delicious and she made us feel right at home. The backyard area and pool had been redone since we were there last and was very inviting. Only thing I would mention and this may be just me, but there were way too many Blue Heron’s everywhere in the décor (a bit of an overload).
