This hotel was an absolute delightful surprise. While searching for hotels in Figeac, this one, nestled within a castle once owned by Philip IV and boasting distinct medieval architectural features, immediately caught my eye. Upon entering the lobby, the prominent 93-point award, the front desk design, and the overall interior design throughout the castle left a truly impressive mark. Every staff member we encountered, like the incredibly courteous gentleman in the lobby—who I believe was either the hotel director or manager 👨🏻‍💼—was exceptionally welcoming. He enthusiastically showed us around the hotel's layout, guiding us to the dinner and breakfast areas. He also shared fascinating details about the castle's history. When we went to the front desk to book dinner, we had the pleasure of meeting the chef 👨🏻‍🍳. He was a bit reserved but meticulously explained the evening's dining options and set menus. He mentioned a "mystery box" style tasting menu with 6 authentic local dishes (which actually turned out to be 7, with a complimentary tuna appetizer). At 69 euros per person, we were all intrigued and immediately decided to go for it! The outcome was incredibly surprising and truly excellent value for money. We also opted for the 25 euro per person wine pairing, which included four glasses. Our sommelier was highly professional, and like the food, the wine pairing was a delightful 'mystery box.' We were so lucky; the dry white wine we received was a Grand Cru Burgundy, and the sommelier was very generous with his pours, giving us nearly full glasses each time, clearly hoping we'd have a fantastic time. Overall, it was incredibly good value for money 👍🏻. Breakfast, due to it being the off-season, offered a standard selection. But generally, the ambiance, quality, and service were all highly commendable. I hope this provides a great reference for fellow travelers visiting Figeac.

This is a really nice hotel in the old town. Getting on the hotel is a little tricky but worth it. You drop off your bags and then drive your car to a secure car park a few minutes walk away. We had a large room which was expectedly dark as this is an historic building. The hotel has blended the old with the new very well. The only downside to the room was that the bathroom was quite old fashioned and basic. It needs an upgrade. There is a very nice courtyard and swimming pool. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced with pleasant service. Again breakfast was well done. Check in and check out were easy with very friendly and helpful staff. If you are Figeac then this hotel is a very good place to visit.

This is an exceptional hotel. Beautiful facilities, modern and spacious rooms. An excellent in house restaurant (and excellent breakfast). The hotel is comprised of several contiguous buildings that have been seamlessly combined. It also has a small chapel, lovely pool area and pretty gardens. You cannot do any better - especially at this price.

Imagine being in the lap of luxury in the heart of Figeac! M. Olivier Gregori and his staff attend to every detail and wish of their guests. Vincent (front desk/manager) and Autur (head waiter) deserve special mention for their care and professionalism. Our room was...gorgeous. It was luxurious, the bed was huge and comfortable, and all of the amenities were on point. Don't miss out on breakfast and dinners there. Breakfast is fascinating because not only is it high quality, but the chef documents every ingredient as to its local nature/sourcing. Dinner is a classy, refined experience, and again the chef is dedicated to quality ingredients and artful presentations. Just lovely. The old part of Figeac is steps away from the hotel, and there you'll find outdoor cafes, 16th century buildings (amazing!!), and lots of winding streets and cute little shops. Also, be sure to visit the Writing museum, which is right in the main square. I can not leave this review without making special mention of M. Gregori. With him, we enjoyed conversations about history, Philosophy, his love of his career, our families, the history of Figeac, etc. He's a lovely human being. He clearly cares about providing 5-star service, he treats each guest as the individual they are, and he cares deeply about his staff and their professionalism. Although he had a 5-star hotel to run, he paused throughout the day to treat my wife and me like royalty. He's a true gentleman, and I can't quite adequately express my gratitude for his kindness. To be honest, the hotel was so posh, so beautiful, and so guest-centered, I'm not sure I deserved to be so richly treated.
