Best Four Star Hotels in Finikia

Good location, about 10 minutes walk to the city centre. To the Blue Roof Church (the church here is basically the Blue Roof, the Google map is marked in Fira, but I think Oia will look better, the picture is below) and the bus station is about 15 minutes walk. In winter, Oia will open fewer restaurants and supermarkets, many of which are not open, but it is more convenient to take pictures with fewer people (the night view is not as good as the summer, because non-operating hotels do not turn on the lights at night). Breakfast was average and not very tasty. We upgraded to the top-floor suite when we checked in. The scenery is particularly good. You can see the sea of love and a whole white cave room on the right. The sunrise and sunset are very beautiful (Sunset is the best known sunset. Those who do n’t like walking can see it in the hotel, and it is also very beautiful. I recommend that viewpoint to see it the next morning.)

This was the perfect place for us. We like quiet, not crowds, and yet I wanted to enjoy the beauty of Oia. This was the perfect solution - close enough to walk to Oia, yet completely peaceful and private. It often felt like we were the only people on the property even though it was fully booked. Instead of battling the crowds to see the sun set, we enjoyed it from our plunge pool, a little oasis. Breakfast was delicious, made to order with so many options we got carried away on the first morning and ended up with way too much food. The staff go above and beyond, offering tips and advice and accommodating changes in plans with a smile - even when we arrived a day late due to a missed connecting flight. We rented a car and parked it in the little reserved lot at the top of the path. We walked to Oia early in the morning to enjoy the views without the people and then left for another part of the island once the crowds arrived. An amazing stay!

We stayed in this hotel 4 nights and the experience was amazing, the food, the view and the excellent services, especially from Hara, she is a wonderful person and a hotel manager that do the best for the guest to relax while in there. She even booked our restaurants and make our breakfast special. Thanks a lot to all of the team and special thanks to Hara. Nevertheless take the 2-storey loft room. It is modern and clean. Living on the bed, you have a super view of the sea towards the island of Ios. Absolutely relaxing. The jacuzzi is a plus (but it has only one person space). There are a few minutes: the safe is really very small - there is a maximum cash bag or pass space. The division is used to - the shower is in the bottom of the bed, the bathroom in 1.Stock. This is just open with the toilet - that is what you call ”hear” and ”smelting” everything. People who are greater than 185cm could hit the roof more often. But: the view is top, The location at the beginning of Oia is top and the service over Whatsapp is top. Clear recommendation!

We booked this beautiful little place not knowing what to expect, but it turned out to be a fantastic find. Pros: - Clean and very spacious rooms - Beds are extremely comfortable - The breakfast is lovely & fresh - Close to the centre of Oia - Owners are extremely helpful & friendly - Outside area is picturesque and has stunning views - A lovely selection of restaurants nearby - Bus rout and transport to other areas is close by Cons: - WiFi didn’t seem to work very well at times - Hot water seemed to run out very quickly Only a couple of small things to tweak, but really cannot complain for the money we paid and the level of quality we got. Would stay here again anytime!

AMAZING HOLIDAY Went on a delayed honeymoon and had the Deluxe Suite with outdoor heated Jacuzzi I would highly recommend this room. Lots of space, 2 showers, amazing views, great size Hot tub - when they say hot tub they mean heated pool. Room Cleaned daily, breakfast bought to the room (huge selection) and pool cleaned daily. Staff exceptionally friendly, staff at reception couldn't have been more helpful with a call down to reception they would do what they could to help Oia is about a 20-25 min walk however on the way back it is a relatively tough walk up copious amounts of steps and in the dark can be quite tricky, we had to use our phone torches. This is nothing against the hotel as this was our decision to stay outside Oia main area. Two slight negatives were that the people who used the room before us were smokers, when we first walked in their was a faint smell of smoke nothing that made us want to move rooms and also on the balcony there were some left over cigarette butts on the floor. Again a mild inconvenience and these are the only negatives we have so as you can see this really is a great hotel. We would love to visit again Highly recommend booking an evening sunset catamaran cruise with BBQ one of the best days we had was when we did this. Oia is very busy in the evenings so would recommend trying to visit in the morning as well as evening for those 'instagram shots'... although we found it too hard to leave our room of luxury most of the time. Drinks are available at reception, water, beer, prosecco, fizzy drinks etc, local shop is about 10 mins walk but about a 20 min walk back due to steps. We ate in Lefkes one evening food was good slightly overpriced but you will find that in most places in Oia. A remarkable experience overall and would love to come back one day! I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough - It is perfect. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Vasilis, Olsi and family took care of our every need and beyond. When we arrived at Oia bus station Vasilis arranged a taxi for us at a considerably lower rate than the taxis parked at the rank. We then checked in, Olsi gave us a quick tour of the apartment and it’s features. Very kindly there was also a bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. The room itself is very spacious, well build and finished to an excellent standard. The cleanliness is second to none and this is maintained every day when cleaned. Olsi very kindly served us some breakfast snacks each morning. The patio area again is spacious and the view is incredible, perfect for sunbathing. The hot tub is just amazing, the temperature is ideal. I highly recommend sitting in the hot tub at night with a drink in hand, taking in the beautiful surroundings - extremely peaceful. The location is super good. Oia town is a 20 minute walk. There is a bus stop outside the apartments if you want to get the bus to oia which is around a 7 minute drive. Also if you get the bus from Fira then you can get off just outside the apartments - again it’s perfect. If there is every anything you need you can just ask Olsi and he will more than happily help. He really does go beyond what is expected and this is something that you rarely find in places like this these days. I recommend this place to anyone visiting santorini, I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed at the luxury, scenery and service

I deliberated for a while with regard to the rating that I should apply to the Nostos Apartments. The setting is stunning and the apartments have all of the raw materials to be a 5 rated location. But when rating a hotel it should not only be about the location but also with regard to service, cleanliness etc and this is where I felt Nostos fell down. The main pool on arrival was filled with bugs, not just a few but 100s. I am not worried about bugs at all but I really do not feel a luxury hotel should have a dirty pool. I am talking so many bugs that it was obvious the pool had not been cleaned for some time, think if you leave a paddling pool in the garden for a week and do not clean it, this is how many bugs there were. I spoke to the two people in reception and I was told “yeah we get a lot of bugs here but I will get someone to clean it straight away”. 30 minutes passed and nothing, no one had even come to take a look, so I went to speak to reception again, this time they said they would get someone straight away (what had they been doing for the past 30 minutes?). Over an hour after my initial request someone came to clean the pool. I had asked to speak to the manager and eventually he came to speak to me, he said he would investigate and get back to me. I told him if he really does have a bug problem to have someone clean the pool every hour, it’s a small hotel and small pool. The next day the pool was still full of bugs (not as many as before), the manager when passing me by reception asked if the pool was now cleaner. It’s a small hotel, if someone had made this complaint why on earth had he not checked it (by this time it was 1PM). I said no it was still bad and I asked if I could have the net and I would clean it myself. This to his credit shamed him into action and I saw him clean it, and guess what the pool was then clean for the rest of the holiday. But should I honestly have had to be on at them for 24 hours to get this done! On my return I then noticed someone had also complained of a dirty pool from the week before us via another forum, honestly just not good enough. Other things to note are that there is no pool service (there is enough staff to offer pool service at least once an hour but they instead have 2 people sitting in reception and one in the breakfast room). Breakfast is OK but eggs were always cold when delivered. The rooms and views are lovely, I suggest getting your own hot tub with the room and thinking of this as more a Air BnB and you will be more than happy. The cleaners and the guys who take your luggage up and down the steps are very good. With better management this place could be amazing.
