In a modern would expect a proper restaurant. Rooms are to small. As are the blanket / duvet, not long enough and much too small. bathroom was under water after every shower. nothing solved after we mentioned it at the reception. no table and chairs in the bedroom. The Hotel has nothing cosy. the bar is modern, but feels like you are sitting in a shop window. do something with light , plants etc.

Hotel is perfectly located, just outside Oberstdorf. Staff is friendly and "per Du". Pizza or Flammkuchen, together with a Weizen, is all you need after a long day walking. Hint: go to Tourist Information for a perfect walking guide for the winter season (EUR 3) - the trips, shown in the lobby on the touch screen, are for summer purposes only. For the summer season, they have also a guide (EUR 8). Be prepared that all pubs (incl. Hütten) will be closed in December, until Christmas - even when it is indicated that they are open...

Waren zum ersten mal im Explorer … ist ein sehr schönes Hotel … schöne saubere Zimmer … Frühstück wirklich sehr lecker und auch ausreichend … die Snacks und Getränke in der Bar sehr zu empfehlen … den Spa Bereich haben wir zwar nicht genutzt aber sah alles sehr vielversprechend aus … man kommt vom Hotel überall schnell hin … mit dem Fahrrad oder auch mit dem Auto aber zu Fuß wenn man wandern möchte … wir kommen bestimmt wieder …

Das Hotel ist sauber,die Zimmer modern und zweckmäßig ausgestattet, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, zentrale Lage, ausreichend Parkplätze, Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen Einziges Minus - für unseren Hund (5 kg) kostet die Nacht 20 Euro! Das ist nicht zu erklären…

Wir waren mit 22 Leuten ( FAMILY) im Hotel und das war einfach super cool! Die Zimmer schön und modern ( für 3 Leute etwas zu eng). Sehr gutes Frühstück und Abends konnten wir gemütlich in der Lounge sitzen mit Cocktails / Getränke /Cafe... Die Atmosphäre ist sehr entspannt , auch mit den Kids. Sie konnten spielen / toben ohne dass sich jemand gestört hat. Die Mitarbeiter/innen waren alle sehr freundlich und herzlich!! Was wir als Family vermisst hatten war z.B. eine Tischtennisplatte oder Tischkicker.. Gerade wenn das Wetter nicht so gut ist, wäre das eine coole Alternative gewesen.

Wir waren drei Tage zuvor im Explorer Hotel in Berchtesgaden. Das Hotel in Oberndorf ist deutlich abgewohnter auch den Service kann man nicht vergleichen. Der Preis mit dem die Kette wirbt war in Oberndorf deutlich höher. Hinzu kommen Gebühren für den Parkplatz vor dem Hotel was in Berchtesgaden auch nicht der Fall war. Das Fitnessstudio war morgens auch nicht nutzbar, auch wurde man um 21h aufgefordert die Sauna zu verlassen. Für uns war es trotz Vorfreude etwas enttäuschend.

Alles super :-) wir haben ein Wochenende dort verbracht und waren mit den Zimmern, dem Frühstück sehr zufrieden. Man ist schnell in Oberstdorf und auch ins Kleinwalsertal hat man nur eine kurze Anreise. Jederzeit wieder :-)

Sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Nur freundliche Mitarbeiter getroffen. Tolles, reichhaltiges Frühstück. Ruhige Zimmer. Viele praktische Tipps zur Gestaltung des Urlaubs. Der Saunabereich ist sehr ruhig und sauber.

Personal freundlich, nach meinem Geschmack dauert es aber an der Bar und beim check- in etwas zu lange. Zimmer ok (etwas nüchtern und schlecht ausgeleuchtet)- Wasser in der Dusche stand tw im Bad. Alles in allem hat es einen Charme einer Jugendherberge- für mich daher eher nur als Kurztrip geeignet, dann aber ok. Wie immer ist alles eine Frage des persönlichen Geschmacks. Parkplätze ausreichend, Lage: etwas ausserhalb des Ortes, als Ausgangspunkt für outdoor m.E gut geeignet.
