The hotel has a great location right on the Flensburger Förde. It is about 2.5 miles to downtown, but that is easily covered by car or bicycle (about 10 min for the latter). It has all the typical attributes of a luxury hotel, but I would like to mention three areas where it really shines. Firstly, the entire staff, regardless of reception desk, restaurant or housekeeping, is amazing. They have a way to make you feel as if you are the only guest and nothing in their life matters more than making you feel comfortable. Secondly, the breakfast buffett (expectely with a lot of fish and seafood) is one of the best I have ever seen. Third, the combined indoor and outdoor pool is clearly first class.
There was only one thing we were disappointed with: the hotel advertises having a gym. In reality this is made up of three rowing machines plus some boxing equipment. However, all the classic elements of a gym (treadmill, eliptical trainer, stationary bicycle) are missing, which impacted my daily exercise routine.

Nice hotel as expected for a 5*. Only complaint was that we had booked a habor view room, but the only view we had was to a hedge (except from the bed room). Staff very friendly, breakfast great, room great (except lack of habour view)

Amazing stay!
Very service minded staff. Only small thing to improve could be a possibility buy some “easier” food in the bar - liike a burger, salad, pasta, pizza or a steak. Its the same card as the restaurant and not so “teenage” friendly. Rest was great. We really enjoyed everything. Great spa area and fantastic breakfast.
