On the event of my husband's 70th birthday, I reached out to the Relais Santa Croce directly for assistance in creating a memorable trip for ourselves and 12 of his closest friends. Flora, and ALL the staff at this beautiful 'Palazzo Hotel', could not have been more helpful, accommodating and sincere. They assisted in creating an amazing 5 days in Florence, uniquely curated to all our needs - museum tours, wine tours in the countryside and fantastic restaurant reservations. Besides Flora, the General Manager and the excellent front desk staff....Carlo and the Food and Beverage staff, facilitated an amazing in-suite Welcome Dinner for 12 people, special group lunches, and a kept our in-suite hospitality bar stocked and operational for 5 straight days. All these services were done with exceptional professionalism but also warm and sincere friendliness. Even though we were a bigger party, and lots of 'moving parts' we were never made to feel that any of our requests were a bother, or not achievable. In summary, although we have stayed all over the world in 5 and 6 star hotels, and in many Relais & Chateaux ....I would consider this one of the top 10 hotels we have ever stayed in in regards to service. Thank you for a truly amazing trip.

An absolute jewel! The Hotel Bernini Palace is special for many reasons, but here are a few: Stefania and her front office team were amazing. From arranging tours to taking care of our money exchange needs, they really were top shelf! House Keeping was phenomenal. Our room was immaculate every afternoon when we returned Breakfast- The only thing that rivaled the servers was the beautiful room in which they served. We highly recommend this hotel!!It is centrally located.

From start to finish, it was a wonderful stay. All the hotel’s front desk staff, Mateo and David and the wonderful lady there, were all very accommodating and helpful. The went out of their way for every need. We are a family of six and we have a lot of needs. The rooms were updated and very clean. Bathrooms fully stocked. Refrigerators fully stocked. Beds were comfortable. The rooms were prepared every day. Daily breakfast was the perfect amount of choices to help start our day. The breakfast staff were also very accommodating helping me prepare food to take to some of my sleepy kids who could make the 3.5 hour window that breakfast was offered every morning. The location was pretty good, right in the river. It was a 15 minute walk to any spot north or south of the river. Definitely a good choice to stay for our next trip!!

New beautiful hotel that is 5 star. Staff was first class and was very guest focused. It’s not a big hotel but the rooms were well appointed and the linens were very nice. There was a chilled bottle of Prosecco in our room when we got there. They have Paulo Airaudo, a Michelin chef in the kitchen. There is a window looking directly into the kitchen so you can watch Chef prepare wonderful dishes! It is located very close to the Medici Castle. We highly recommend this hotel!

The location of the room is good, in the urban area, the room can be considered as a big, very fine hotel! The lobby of the hotel is very stylish. Breakfast dining environment is also good! The layout of the room, a family of three 👨‍👩‍👧 will not be crowded when staying! The child's bed is on the other side of the room. Good space, three suitcases don't feel too crowded! The bathroom space is not small, the shower room is very interesting, it is flexible and retractable! The hotel's air conditioner is a bit hot, and the air conditioner is turned off, but I still feel a bit hot! Everything else is fine! Very cost-effective hotel.

This is a lovely, clean hotel with good facilities and location and an excellent breakfast. It has a very traditional decor, with a modern bathroom. Our room was pleasant enough but the window faced a wall and had huge shutters which we couldn't open. Hence, there was hardly any natural light in the room. I also found the staff a bit unfriendly, especially at the reception desk. There was no greeting if you walked past, and they did seem slightly condescending - not the usual friendliness you would expect on a reception desk. The staff at breakfast were much nicer. I liked this hotel, but a little friendliness and a smile go a long way and would have enhanced our stay.

Hotel has many pros - great location, beautiful ambience and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately we felt slightly let down by the customer service. There was a slight misunderstanding upon check in - whilst our rate was room only, we were asked what time we wanted to have breakfast- and neither my husband nor I realised this was not part of the rate and thus would entail a fee. Whilst I will be more careful in future it’s a very easy mistake especially when having made a number of bookings! Whilst I paid the additional 40 euro, I feel that the staff could have approached this misunderstanding better. I feel a discussion should have taken place before my card was charged. I did speak to the manager regarding the issue but I feel that the decision had been made and she had been advised we knew about the additional charge. Whilst I agree it placed her in a predicament, and that she was very professional regarding the matter, I do feel it’s instances like this that show true customer service- and that was not displayed here.

I cannot recommend Canto degli Aranci highly enough! This little B&B in the heart of Florence was one of the best places I EVER stayed in many years of travel across many countries. Where can I begin? The location is ideal for anyone visiting the main sites in Florence. It is about a 15 minute walk from the main train station of Santa Maria Novella, a 5 minute walk to the Duomo, just around the corner from the Bargello Gallery, about 10 minutes to Piazza della Signoria, and the Uffizi Gallery... It really is right in the center of everything. My room was also excellent. It was clean, comfortable, and chicly decorated. I slept soundly on the very comfortable mattress. Every morning, I was able to start my day with an amazing breakfast prepared by one of the two women working in the kitchen. It really does feel like staying in a family home. The expresso and cappuccino was the best! Marta and Flavio were prompt to respond to all my questions by email before my arrival and even offered sightseeing tips. Flavio made check-in and check-out a breeze, and in the mornings he would make sure that I had a good plan for the day. I had an incredible stay at Canto degli Aranci, and I hope that I can return again!

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for Epiphany with the whole family, we are two parents with two children. We had a great time and will definitely be back! The hotel is wonderful in an evocative setting, along the Arno, it is also very close to the Ufizzi, the old bridge and the center. The staff is extremely kind and hospitable. Peruzzi Residences. If you can, stay here. It’s wonderful. What’s to like? So much. It has all the typical draws. The location is simply superb. It is within a 5-10 minute walk of almost all the major attractions (5 minutes to the Uffizi, 8 to the Duomo, 7 to get across the Arno, 7-8 to the Ponte Vecchio). The rooms are (very) large, super comfortable, quiet, clean and with good AC. Breakfast is very good and delivered in the atmospheric kitchen/breakfast and living area. Beds are comfortable. Storage superb. They provide new bottled water (still and sparkling) each day. There are fruit baskets out throughout the day. It's just a very nice place to stay. But then there are the things that make it special. The hotel itself is within an 11th century (yes, that’s right, 11th century) tower, owned originally by the Peruzzi family. The rooms have wonderful high ceilings, and the décor is gorgeous. It really does look like the photos. If you want to feel like a pampered Florentine, then definitely stay here. Also, Roberta, who is the main caretaker and concierge, is simply wonderful. Do talk to her about things to see and do – even if you think you’ve got it all sussed. She asked us what kinds of things we liked, and then whipped out a map and described neighbourhoods, the relative vibe of each neighbourhood, why places were special, and pointed out other smaller special places as well. On subsequent days, remembering what we liked, she would have additional gems for us to check out. She helped each evening with restaurant reservations, and her recommendations were never off (we are vegetarian). Do the wine tasting one night. Roberta hosts it with glee. It does take maybe an hour, but you get to try some of the wine produced by the owners of the residence and hear more about the history of the building. Roberta used to be a librarian for a local arts college, so she is an absolute treasure trove of information – if you want it. She’s never intrusive. In short, a great place to stay – highly recommend it! Thank you Roberta and Peruzzi residence staff!

The hotel location is close to the historic centre. We could easily walk to all the sights except the Accademia which is a bit further away. But everything else is a quick walk away - Duomo, Uffizi, Bargello, Arno river. This is a historic building so it comes with its own quirks, like no lift, a slightly cramped dining area. But these did not bother us at all. It is a bit far off from the Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station if that matters to you. One needs to take a mini bus to reach the nearest bus stop and then walk a bit through the narrow streets. So you would be better off travelling lightly and avoiding heavy luggage. The staff( owner perhaps?) was most helpful and welcoming. He gave good recommendations for dining options nearby. He helped me and my daughter to carry our suitcase up the staircase. He gave helpful tips and oriented us to the neighbourhood. Since we had enquired about kettle availability in the room prior to our arrival, he had arranged for a kettle too in our room. I also have to call out the fact that he even graciously made arrangements for an early breakfast for us one day as we had to leave very early for a day trip to Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa. No other hotel that we stayed at during our 2 weeks travel in Italy, Belgium and France had done this. I would highly recommend this hotel precisely for these 2 reasons - the excellent location and service.
