Campo di Marte Florence|0.58km from Biblioteca Provinciale dei Cappuccini
I stayed here to attend a technical conference at the nearby university (within walking distance). I received a very good price 140 euros/night for 7 nights. My room (top floor) didn't have a big huge bathroom, a big huge desk, an in-room safe, a clock, or a BIG HUGE PRICE! The supplied liquid soap is in little packets which I found hard to open (arthritis) -- had I known, I'd have brought a bar of soap. It did have a small effective refrigerator and an air-conditioner. So why is this rating 5 instead of 3 (very basic hotel)? Very quiet except that the hotel is on a road to a nearby hospital (you may hear ambulances). The friendliness, courtesy, and helpfulness of all personnel (who speak fluent English)! The phone system for wake-up calls was on the fritz, so the night manager came upstairs to rap on my door 3am departure day to roust me, and made sure of a taxicab to FLR. The included breakfast is rolls, cereal, beverages, cheese, ham, and soft-boiled eggs. During normal hours, take tram T2 from FLR to central station, transfer tram T1 to Poggetto, cross tram tracks and walk 0.5 km to hotel (”HOTEL” in block letters sticks out from building). To reach sights of city, take T1 from Pisacane (twin stop to Poggetto, about 200m farther west through a ”tunnel,” to Valfonda and walk. Internet computer is in little room off lobby. Once when it wasn't working, hotelier apologized and gave me a Coke Zero for free out of the little beverage cooler in the lobby. There is an elevator.

I've been in this hotel for few days the first week of December with my partner, and since the warm welcome we received at the reception, we understood that we made the right choice. The Hotel is lovely, newly refurbished and very clean. But the staff is what makes the difference. Everyone is very attentive, caring and smiling, and they go over and beyond to satisfy any request. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Claudia and Luisa (hope I get the names right) at the reception have been amazing. They always recognised us by name (yes they remembered our names), and greeted us with a smile even though we had few requests for the room. They simply accommodated our requests in an efficient and timely manner. We had breakfast every day and few times lunch or dinner as well during our stay. Food was great and the Chef (Stefano if I am not wrong) was often going around the table to make sure that guests are happy and satisfied. We also felt very safe thanks to the Health & Safety measure they have in place in the whole Hotel after Covid. Staff is wearing masks and they follow the government guidelines. We had the chance to meet the General Manager Marco, which helped us in various situation with suggestions and directions to make sure that we enjoy our trip in Florence. He is passionate about his job, and you can clearly feel it when he talks. Overall, me and my partner had an amazing experience. It was our first trip outside UK since Covid, and we are happy that we choose this hotel. We will definitely come back, and recommend to our friends.

Excellent hotel. Large rooms with patio. There are tables and chairs where we can relax. The bathroom was really good, with essential amenities and good towels. The location is great. There's a bus stop right next to the hotel where you can take the bus to the historic sites. Breakfast was good. And attendants were really kind.

Location - convenient distance to visit the old city and the largest attractions of Florence. The area is quiet and quiet. Before the hotel there were many free public paid parking spaces. Cleanness The room was cleaned quite well, but the equipment, walls and floors are not long-changed/renovated. Support The reception was open when we arrived at about 14, but at night and at night there was no one. There is only information with the phone number with the message to contact in emergency cases. Comforts. Air conditioning is very poor - we were just in the heat and it turned out that the air conditioning in our room is ineffective. After the announcement we received another room where the climate worked better, however, we still failed to cool the room to low temperatures. In the second room, the shower looked like a small sailing boat (before the toilet muscle itself, so you could take a shower on the seating ...).

Stayed at YellowSquare Florence for 2 nights and had a fun time! Hostel was very social and had activities every day! We arrived before check-in and luggage storage was free which was different among many other hostels we stayed in. Staff was super nice and remembered me by name! There was a rooftop pool which was super fun and clean, so definitely bring a swimsuit if you’re coming during the warmer months! Rooms and showers were clean and spacious and not too far of a walk from city center. Definitely recommend staying here!
