Horrible experience: the staff forced us to pay more than €80 from the agreed price at check-in, without any warning (neither on the site nor in the confirmation email). I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STRUCTURE. Let's go in order: I booked for a night at the Loft San Niccolò on the Trip.com website but only when we arrived in Florence for check-in, the manager told us that we would have to pay another €75 for cleaning. Well, there is no problem but I kindly warn you: first we would have liked to see the written request for this extra money to be paid, given that on the confirmation email it was written to pay only €16 on site for the tourist tax and we certainly wouldn't have paid any more money like that, on word of mouth. From that moment on, a real, very long antics orchestrated by the staff members began: there was no written record of the tax to be paid, the boy warned us that it has always worked like this and that many other customers have found themselves in the same situation ( or in the same scam, whatever you prefer). Furthermore, trying to call a girl at the reception, she immediately responds with an aggressive and rude tone, telling us that "either we pay that money or we leave", without getting a refund, then hanging up the phone in our faces without the possibility of counter. At that point, the reception boy's brilliant idea arrived: he would go away, busy as he was with other check-ins, without leaving us the keys, perhaps locking us in while waiting for the payment of the tax (which in the meantime had increased, no one knows exactly how, first at €76 and then at €81). The thing that makes me angry is not the extra money not agreed upon in the booking, but rather the manager's admission that customers have already been screwed like this many other times, because apparently on the Trip.com website there are no references to payments supplementary. So why not edit your loft page and SPEAK CLEARLY AND SINCERELY to your customers? Why not delete the page from the site in question? It is clear that it is convenient for them to grab customers with relatively low prices and then cheat them once they arrive on site. To top it all: bathtub and bidet with hair and ***** hair clearly visible. In short, €81 for cleaning was definitely well spent.

For subsequent stays, you will have to pay a cleaning fee of 76 euros, which must be in cash! What Ctrip said is too unreliable. There is an extra charge. The quilts and blankets on the sofa bed in the room are not clean.

A beautiful apartment, just a short walk away from everything. Very clean. Comfy bed. Unfortunately, the shower is terrible - it cycles from ice cold through to boiling hot continuously so you have to keep jumping to the side every 30 seconds (which thankfully is easy to do given how large the shower is). Would definitely stay there again for a few nights but save washing your hair for somewhere else!

Great location and good host but with some issues I dont like giving negative reviews but I can’t fully recommend this stay in its current state. The communication was great and we received excellent customer service when it came to check in and messaging during the stay. The location is also excellent as it is neither too close or too far from the city center. However there were a few glaring issues that could not be fixed during our stay and to be fair we did not bring up as it would have involved us stopping our trip to wait for potential repairs. The first of which was AC which was not effective and being on the second floor the loft stayed very hot throughout the day and night. There is also only about 4 feet of clearance in the upper floor of loft so bumping your head is a regular occurrence. The last step going up to the upper floor of the loft is also loose which seemed unsafe. The cleanliness of the apartment could also be better. Lastly there was a strange sewer like smell that permeated the apartment. I had read about it on an earlier review but it seems to still be an issue about year later. Overall for the price I was expecting more.

The area around the property was nice, but the property it self wasn’t very clean. The sofa couch sheets were dirty and when I asked for new ones I was told no because it would cost extra. I tried contacting the manager and nothing ever got resolved. I loved the city but hated my stay.

A Great Place to Stay I was so confortable staying in this Loft because it was like literalelly having My Owe Apartment, with everything: living and dinning room, kitchen and my bed in a sencond level. I was just few minutes walking to The Historical Area (Palazzo and Ponte Vecchio, Galleria Uffizi, Palazzo Piti, La Acadmia, Piazzale Michelangelo where you have a great Panoramic View of Firenze, buses stations, etc.).

So happy to be directly out of the tourist area but still easy walking distance to everything. If you stay here you have to go to the bakery across the street. Big Bakery was the best we have had by far. One of our best days in a long time started with Big. ENJOY!
