The service was extremely poor. The fire alarm rang at 5 o'clock in the morning and lasted until nearly 8 o'clock. The hotel did not explain or apologize. There are a lot of people at breakfast, and there is almost no service. The house is super old. The penthouse suite has a good view from the terrace, but nothing else. I feel that the overall hotels in Italy are very poor. The price is still very expensive.

Such a wonderful hotel. Beautiful location on a plaza and on the Arno. Easy walk to most locations. Staff so friendly and really went out of the way to make us feel welcome. Room is beautiful and they go the extra mile, leaving chocolates and even a bottle of wine and snacks. Breakfast buffet is wonderful. You can’t go wrong if you are looking for a luxury hotel in Florence.

We loved Florence so much! We loved our time visiting the Westin. My family and i were so eager to arrive to see Salvatore at the Westin. This is a huge part of why we decided to visit the Westin, because we made connections with Salvatore at the St Regis, on a prior vacation. We absolutely adore him, and he treats our family so nicely and helps us with dinner recommendations and is so helpful and kind throughout our whole stay! Everytime we come back, we look forward to seeing him, and we would never come to Florence without seeing Salvatore!

We absolutely loved our experience in Florence. We couldn’t wait to arrive and be greeted by Salvatore! He is our absolute favorite. We follow him, wherever he goes. Salvatore suggests the best dinner recommendations for my to dine at. We even had two other places we were going to eat at, but he knows us so well that he suggested we try two others that he felt were a better fit. We love Florence, and the visiting the Westin. However we love Salvatore’s hospitality and care for our family.

This Hotel was our favorite of the 3 hotels we stayed at in Italy. The service was amazing … the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast was so delicious and one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel is centrally located and in walking distance to the Ponte vecchio and many of the cities attractions. I would highly recommend this hotels while staying in Florence
