Hotel Alinari is in a very convenient location just steps from Santa Maria Novella Station and only a short walk to the Central Market and numerous reasonably priced restaurants. It’s location might be off putting to some people as there is no huge lighted sign on the street telling you it’s there. You have to look for a much smaller sign in the street and elk into the ground level courtyard to see that it’s on the 4th floor. Take the elevator up to 4 but you might have to wait for it a bit. Patience pays off though as the proprietor and all of his staff are friendly and eager to help. Breakfast is substantial enough served by more friendly employees. Everything is great, the location is top.
Very spacious room, there is a coffee machine with capsules, toast, honey and jam
View of the church.

This hotel is on the fourth or fifth floor of an old apartment building. Take the cage elevator up to the fifth floor to find the reception desk. A service staff will take you up the stairs to your room. The hygienic condition is not very good and the service is mediocre. In short, I will not book again. There appear to be other "hotels" operating similarly in this building. Is this the case for such an expensive Italian hotel? I'm really speechless.

The hotel is located a short distance from the Santa Maria Novella station. With a short walk you reach the city center and in the immediate vicinity is the covered market where you can have lunch and dinner with typical Tuscan products.
The room is simple, but extremely comfortable.
The breakfast room allows you to have an excellent view of the dome of the church of San Lorenzo and the dome of the Cathedral.
The sweet and savory breakfast is rich and abundant.
Possibility to leave the luggage after the checkout time.

This place was not accommodating at all. They are racist and tried to fight us, we even got a video of it. If you’re a minority, I would not recommend coming to this place. Also, they overcharged us $900 for our hotel room.

This is one of the worst hotels and general experiences I had in Italy in my entire life. The hotel charged us 800€ for a 3 night stay and accused us of trying to steal a 3€ water bottle. The owner and an employee marched into our room unannounced on two separate occasions to kick us out for a late check out and another time to “inspect” our room. They also REFUSED to clean our room because it was too dirty because I got period stains on the sheets and there was leftover takeout in the room. It was horrible and discriminatory. Book somewhere else.

Someone enter the hotel, and was moving furniture and open closing the doors 🚪 hard! Constantly until 2 am. Or more. MAybe we’re employees but they were like destroying the place. I was afraid they want to enter my room. Sad because I like my room but the staff never was aware of this situation. I can office and I contact expidia regarding this
