Hotel Ariele

good location, friendly staff , cosy environment. clean room .breakfast selection is good and of good quality . staff is knowledgeable and provide good information for guests. it is near restarants and malls but you need to be able to walk between 10-20 minutes depending on your physical capabilities

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. The staff are wonderful. There's a garden in which to relax with a drink or just chill. You can walk to all the major tourist attractions but the hotel is in a very quiet area with no noise at night.

Great little hotel just a 15min walk, or tram ride, or bus ride into the main attractions. Close to the main train station and again, a short walk or one tram stop from the hotel. Staff very friendly - on the desk, around the hotel and at breakfast. Wonderful breakfast that sets you up for the day - many choices: fruit, cereals, hot food, pastries and more! Fresh juice and coffee or tea. Staff very helpful and quick to sort out any requests e.g. an extra pillow. Room very clean and just the right size for a short stay. Yes there was building work opposite, but they didn't tend to start until at least 8am. Very quiet area - we slept with the window open and were not disturbed by outside noises.

Ideal location as just on the edge of the old town so it was quiet, especially when enjoying a drink in the enchanting terrace garden. The staff were lovely, the breakfasts filling and the rooms comfortable and well equipped. The hotel staff were knowledgeable about the area and were able to make recommendations of places to eat as the hotel did not provide evening meals.

A nice hotel which looks like it has been recently redone. Staff are friendly, room was big, clean and airy. The breakfast on offer was a mix of breads, hams, cheeses, fruit, yogurts, cakes and some hot food (bacon, sausages and eggs) all of which was done well. A couple of things to be aware of - we travelled in April and the temperature was around 24/25 degrees, however the hotel does not allow air con until later in the season - they said this is due to laws in Italy but my understanding is the law is for public buildings only, and actually more to do with cost. Regardless, it made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. Which brings me the other main concern - opening the window to relieve some of the heat was certainly the plan however the hotel is next to a rather large construction site which started work around 0730am, even on a Saturday. Other small details only a bottle of shower gel attached to the wall of the shower - had to ask for shampoo and conditioner to be explained the shower gel would be all that was required as it had oils in it…for a 4 star hotel at ~190e a night not what I was expecting Overall a nice hotel, good access to Florence, and a walk along the river..but I think given the construction work going on next door they may want to reconsider their air con policy or at least offer a fan.

We appreciated every single aspect of our three-day stay at Hotel Ariele last week. A (probably recently) renovated hotel in a marvelous classy building in a quiet residential neighborhood less than a 10-minute walk from the center of Florence and its hordes of tourists – although we admit we were two of them😉 Great noise insulation – there is a building in construction across the street but with the window closed, you do not hear anything. Nice double room with a fridge and everything you need. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff everywhere – from breakfast room staff to reception desk. If we ever go back to Florence, no doubt, we would return to hotel Ariele.
