Il Grillo di Firenze B&B

During the trip to Italy we stayed in 4 different hotels in 4 cities and this apartment was the best! It is the best place to stay in Florence. The location is very convenient: next to the house there is a tram stop that goes straight to the city center. The city center is also easily accessible on foot in 30 minutes. The apartment and the room itself are very large, bright and cozy. The room was clean and had all the amenities necessary for living. The terrace overlooking the mountains and the city amazed me to the core! I especially want to note the hospitality of Lara and Lorenzo. The hosts are always in touch, upon arrival they give you a map of the city and show you all the attractions. Moreover, every morning Lara prepares a delicious and varied breakfast for hotel guests. Lara, thank you, it was very tasty! On my next stay in Florence, I will definitely choose Lara and Lorenzo's apartment!

Great location and a short walk from the tram station. Excellent service, the staff were welcoming, super helpful and friendly. The beds were so comfortable. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was great! Highly recommend!!

friendly, helpful people. they are very attentive! close to public transport, the city center, the airport. the bags were allowed to be left there on the day of departure while we walked around the city. breakfast, plentiful, delicious, varied

Lara and Lorenzo are very friendly and attentive hosts, helpful in everyway. Modern and exceptionally clean rooms, a large common area for breakfast and a patio. Quiet. Very security conscious. A little out of the way, a 30 minute walk from the historic centre, but worth it overall.

Staying at Il Grillo di Firenze was a great experience. The B and B was clean, beds were very comfortable, There were two of us traveling and needed 2 separate beds. Be sure to order a triple in Italy to get 2 separate beds and be very clear before you get there. Otherwise, you'll end up with one double bed. The bathroom had a good shower and a hair dryer was provided. There was no street noise to keep us awake at night. One of the guests had his tv on until 2 am which was bothersome the first night. The second night was quiet. There was an elevator. Lara and Lorenzo were very personable and made us feel at home. They prepared a breakfast in the morning with cereal, rolls, fruit and juice. Plus, they made espresso any way we liked it. Lara gave us tips on where to go in Florence and how to get around. There was a tram a block away from the B and B, a great bakery with Tuscan Schiacciata Bread, and restaurants close by. This was my first time in a Bed and Breakfast. I loved that we could meet the other guests. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Florence.

Hosts were very welcoming, helped give very good advice on what to see/ do. Had tram tickets you could buy, place had a small kitchen that I could use which was very useful when I wanted a cup of tea!!! Close to the centre but not too close! Would highly recommend!

Very clean, very receptive, great breakfast, great location. Our family really enjoyed the stay. There is a great variety in the breakfast with options for all tastes. In the area we highly recommend the restaurant "Senzanome", that is steps away from the B&B It's very easy and quick to get to city center and the train station from the hotel.

This was an excellent place to stay! Lara was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. She provided us with great advice and locations to visit. We had a good breakfast in their beautiful balcony. The place is located in a very quiet neighborhood, very close to the tram , the center (about 10 min.) and to other restaurants. Thank you for your hospitality. Very clean accommodation with spacious and beautiful balcony. Very friendly and welcome host who will give you advice for iconic and amazing location of the city. Nice location, just 5 min walking away from tram stop and 10 minutes to the center by tram.
