Hotel Victoria

Hotel Victoria in Florence Italy is a small boutique Hotel in a very central location in Florence . the street Via Nazionale is a very busy /bustling street with many small hotels, but also quite central. walking distance to many of major attractions.

Great hotel in a wonderful location Just to put the review in perspective we had room 53, which was on the second floor and the outlook was over the interior across some roofs. The room was a great size, lots of space for luggage and moving around etc, great sized bathroom. We spent 2 nights out of our 8 night Italian trip here at Hotel Victoria and out of the 4 hotels we stayed at this one was the best! The location is perfect, 5 minutes walk from the train station and only a matter of yards from the indoor and leather markets.....all the major attractions are within easy walk. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy, plenty of choice and all fresh. The room was the best we experienced and the restaurant a few doors up from the hotel called Matto Matto is well worth a visit, wonderful food and service at very reasonable prices! The staff were all lovely and the hotel was clean with a wonderful array of smells as you walked around it.

The room is very basic but spotless. there is an elevator. breakfast very good. Easy walk to mercato centrale, duomo and main train station (SMN)

They make you pay the city tax in cash! Breakfast was good.

Not a good experience. I understand you get what you pay for, but our room smelled like sewage and smoke. The bathroom smelled horrendous and we had to keep the door closed at all times and open our window to air out the room while we were gone. Also, when we arrived, I had booked 2 rooms in advance. It was not a smooth check in whatsoever. The man at the check in counter was extremely rude. He was instant that I only had one room when I showed him my booking receipt and confirmation email. He told us to come back later without resolving the issue. Luckily, when we came back it was a new, more friendly worker that made check in smooth.
