Chose Star-Apart-Hotel based on its location, price, and amenities (fitness center, gratis snacks and beverages [including beer and wine]). We were given a room on the "tennis" floor, and it faced inwardly, rather than the streets. Minor noise only one night (stayed Thursday through Sunday nights) from the nearby park and apartment-balcony conversation. Great staff and communication; weekend desk person (Saleh) booked a taxi for our time-sensitive event Sunday morning. Breakfasts were fantastic-- our first exposure to what good Central European breakfasts can have (e.g. vegetables and dense, quality breads). And location is excellent-- within a half-block of both tram and UBahn stops, and many good stores and restaurants within a few blocks. Only minor detraction-- but part and parcel with smaller inns-- was the limited hours for desk, fitness center, and breakfast start time. For those needing the conveniences or reassurances a full-service hotel provides, Star-Apart might not be your place. But, for us, it was great value and experience in a great part of Frankfurt.

Very well located in a central position, just a short stroll from the river and the Sachsenhausen district, this is a bit of a cross between an apartment and a hotel as it’s name suggests. What that basically means is that you get a very small kitchenette area, so besides the usual kettle and ‘fridge which you’d expect anyway, there is also a small sink, a microwave and plenty of plates and cutlery. How many people would actually use that I’m not sure, but it’s handy I suppose if you’re on a very tight budget and don’t want to eat out all the time, or are there for an extended period. The reception desk operates very limited hours, finishing at around 3:30pm. If you arrive after this, as I’m sure many people will, there is some sort of electronic terminal outside which you can apparently use to gain entry, although as we were there earlier we did not need to use this. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy, and in fact looks as though it has been freshly refurbished. It has something of a sports there, and there was various sporting memorabilia around, as well as photographs of various starts. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when walking up the stairs (there is also a tiny lift), it all looked rather basic with the stair carpet leaving gaps of exposed concrete either side, for example. Fortunately I needn’t have worried, the room was light and airy, and again, very clean and tidy. It was a decent enough size, with a safe, TV, and the aforementioned kitchen appliances, as well as a Nespresso machine. Some snacks were supplied, consisting of a pot noodle type dish, a bag of pretzels, chocolate biscuits and sweets. I couldn’t get the safe to work, I’m sure it must have been broken, and it even woke me up in the night with a shrill chirping noise so I had to take the batteries out. Everything else was fine though, and the room was nice and quiet, although I was facing out to some sort of roof area above the restaurant, if I’d had a street facing room it may have been noisier. There was a good spread of help yourself buffet at breakfast, with options including cold meat, cheese and smoked salmon, hot food including sausages, mini-burgers, scrambled egg and a strange mushroom/pepper/carrot/broccoli concoction, plain yoghurt, cereals, fruit salad and so on. The only thing really missing was pastries, with just croissants available one morning, and nothing the next, although there was plenty of bread and rolls. The dining room was a bit on the small side, and the serving area in particular got very congested even with only two or three people there. Anyone using the coffee machine blocked the entrance way to the dining toom, leaving guests to either try and squeeze past or wait in the corridor outside until they had finished. Overall though, pretty good for the price and I’d happily stay there again.

We stayed 3 nights at Star Apart Hotel and we had a good experience. The room and the bed were huge, comfortable and it has everything you need (kitchenette, tv, lots of clothing storage and a nice view of a flowershop across the street). The bathroom is tiny and doesn’t have a lot of storage options and unfortunately the showerhead was broken (we were immediately offered a new room after communicating this). Because of the busy road in front of the hotel it can be quite noisy so earplugs are needed. The location is great though, close to the city centre and next to a few bakeries and restaurants. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel.

I recently stayed at the Star Apart Hotel and can quite honestly say, it lived up to the expectations built via the positive reviews left on this page. Right down to the complimentary mini-bar, you are made to feel right at home from the minute you check in through to point in time when you continue your journey. if I visit Frankfurt again, I would have no hesitation in staying here. Fully recommend :-)

We finally stayed in this hotel after a defunct 2020 trip in which they honoured our credits. The hotel is very modern inside with large, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. It is located just across the river from the old town and main shopping area and close to Museumsufer and the Sachsenhausen district so you can walk everywhere although it is is also right by a U Bahn and tram stop (handy for catching trains or going to the airport). Each room is decorated in the theme of a sports star. As others mention, rooms have a mini fridge stocked with snacks and drinks that are free and replenished daily. There is a kitchenette i.e. sink, microwave, jug and coffee maker. What more could you ask for! Not sure when we might get back to Frankfurt again but this would be our number 1 choice.

I found this hotel shortly after they opened a couple of years ago and it is the only place in Frankfurt that I wish to stay. The rooms are modern, bright and large but the staff are exceptional and give the hotel a "home away from home" atmosphere! It is just across the river from the main shopping area (a 10 to 15 minute easy & pleasant walk) or 1 subway stop. It is also super easy to get to/from the hotel from both the Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station) with Tram 16 (3 rd stop) or the Airport (both by subway or bus from both Terminal 1 or 2). Sachenhausen is a lovely area with great restaurants, grocery stores (just around the corner) and many other interesting shops. Rooms have a stocked mini fridge with contents that are free and replenished daily, free snacks and a microwave & coffee maker. You can't go wrong!

I lived in this hotel for 3 months. Super clean, amazing position , many snack were offered, really nice rooms and super nice receptionists. Only one downside: the elevator is accessible after few stairs.
