Best Western Historic Frederick

Was disappointed booking cost was 40 more a night then it was two weeks prior.  Also disappointed in small tub/bathroom set up.

The hotel was good but also updated. Rooms were good clean and also nice fresh linen. Had a good and easy to adjust shower although the bathroom was pretty small as it included a toilet as well. Everything else was good. Breakfast was better than the previous hotels we stayed but can be better. Some breakfast items were not presented and there was no microwave so not possible the cook the oat porridge.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and were impressed by the friendly and hospitable atmosphere. It is also very conveniently located and there are neighborhoods near by that are good for walking.

To start with, the staff were first rate. Always polite, kind, professional, and accommodating. Room was clean & fresh smelling. Only a couple stains on furniture were present. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and continuously stocked during the morning time offered. The only minor drawback was the heating-cooling unit in the room seemed responsive to personal control only part of the time; overall however, the air temperature in the room was comfortable.

We visited on March 13, 2026. We were driving through from Ottawa to Myrtle beach so our stay was short, 10pm until 5:30am. The blankets are very thin, I froze all night. The hvac system is very loud, kept me up most of the night. The bathroom had a bug in it and wasn’t super clean. The front desk told me there was a gym on the 2nd floor but walked the entire floor and no gym was found. Not the best

Nice hotel for a stay close to downtown. The staff are friendly and caring and the breakfast is above average.

We were only staying in for 1 night. I was told by 2 different staff members that my charge would be $55. When we checked out the next morning, they slapped a charge of 2 nights and $139. It is fraud and they lied to us. I put the blame on the General Manager Bhavesh Prakash for defrauding us who does not know what customer service all is about.
