Excellent meal. All 3 of us had 3 courses & the food was delicious. All plates were empty Would recommend this to family & friends. Hotel needs a paint outside and a few more customers. Clean toilets , carpets & friendly staff.

After seeing deaths at a perthshire hotel have to say this place is a death trap with fire safety, staff mull around lazily with little care of anything brought to their attention. Local people say owners live abroad and have done nothing with the place they bought 5 or 6 years ago the slobbish manager tells a different story about how they just bought it and are working on it.If you value your families lives steer clear old damp smelly lots of broken fittings wires visible everywhere not safe at all.

We were a family of five and we had an amazing stay, really recommended. Lovely hotel, staff, breakfast, dinner and the cozy bar. 30min walking to Lomond Hills! Very pleasant walk where you see cows along the way (Highland Cows!!!) Honestly, it was really good. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so lovely.

Firstly, I would echo the positive comments made by other travellers here, noting that it is an unpretentious 3* hotel with an ongoing renovation programme, which was no doubt badly affected by Covid / lockdown. We stayed as a family for 2 nights at a weekend, to attend a concert in Glenrothes and visit friends in Perth. The staff were great, despite them admitting being short-staffed for the first part of our stay. They took time to ensure the most suitable rooms were made available, even after a problem had arisen with one of them before we arrived. We were encouraged to raise any issues, and a couple of minor ones were resolved promptly and politely. The rooms themselves were comfortable, clean, warm and adequately furnished. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, which had a good choice of food options; these were plentiful - everyone left satisfied. Sadly, there was an issue with the swimming pool meaning it was closed, but we did make use of the gym. Overall it felt good value for money and we would return again (when the pool is open!). I've taken a star off the rating for the pool being closed.

I stayed for 2 nights with my mum and sister. This hotel was a perfect base to explore the coast. The staff were absolutely brilliant. They were very friendly and helpful. Any special requests werw dealt with for arrival. The hotel had a very relaxed feel to it which we loved as a family. The food was amazing...especially the breakfast! The room was very clean and spacious. The swimming pool was an added bonus. We had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves which made the stay even better! My mum has mobility issues and the pool/jacuzzi was accessible to her with steps into each which was very much appreciated as she was able to join us and relax for a bit. The pool area is getting refurbed at the moment and this will be an even better addition to the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here over a long weekend, with family and friends joining us for meals and drinks. Food was amazing, with breakfast, lunch and dinner surpassing expectations. Staff go out their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Village is very friendly, with all the amenities that you would expect only in a larger town. Overall a great experience. Henry the Cockapoo also enjoyed his holiday and the walks around the village.

Freuchie is a lovely small village. Ideally situated for those looking to explore the surrounding Fife area. The Lomond Hills is one of those places you really want to do well especially after the last few years. You can only go on your experiences however. Cost wise, they are very reasonable. The staff were all very friendly. The hotel is however very tired looking. From the car park side, paintwork etc just looks very tatty. Really not a nice first impression. Cigarette stubs laying around the entrance as well. There is a leisure centre but it wasn't clear if it was actually open. Even the areas that have been ' modernised ' look unfinished or poorly finished. Our room was small but very clean. It looked however dated. The bathroom looked like it had been recently done up. Quickly. Shower was good however. The bed was ok, but the mattress was bigger than the frame which meant that it tended to sag. Also very small. Be prepared for that. Not sure how often housekeeping come in but certainly not during our stay. Breakfast was an interesting experience. Good choice of cereals and fruit juice to hand. There is a box of pastries but watching people rummage put us off. The cooked part was less appealing. Just too much oil for us. No one asked about more tea or toast though. For the short period we were there it was ok. We didn't have an evening meal so can't comment on that. There is a lounge/bar area but was very quiet. Didn't really work for us unfortunately.

The hotel is in a lovely location in Freuchie, a small and very pretty village in Fife . It was easy to find and well signposted. Parking was very good, room was fine and very clean with comfortable beds. We overlooked the cricket ground which was lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included and had a very good choice of cooked options. We liked the pristine white tablecloths on the tables, a very good vibe! Thank you for a very comfortable and peaceful stay. We recommend.
