Hotel Hulaton Fukuokahakata

I stayed at the Hulaton Hotel for four nights during a solo trip of eight nights and nine days. Before this hotel, I stayed at the Starrise Hotel in Gion for four nights, which was a bit more affordable. But the room was so small that I couldn't open my 32-inch suitcase, so I had to fold it. The staff were mostly hourly, so customer service wasn't great. The staff changed every hour. You had to check in yourself in the early morning. The Hulaton Hotel was almost always staffed. The first-floor lobby had everything you could need: a smoking room, laundry room, coffee machine, disposable toiletries, and more. I even opened my 32-inch suitcase. I intend to stay here again. Incidentally, the famous tonkatsu restaurant "Donkatsu Wakaba" is right next door.

I stayed here alone for three nights. Check-in time is 5 PM, but check-out is until 12 PM! I didn't use it, but I think they store your luggage before and after you check in. I don't speak Japanese, so I didn't have much time to communicate with the staff, but they greeted me whenever we met, which was nice. The room was similar in size to other Fukuoka business hotels. The value for money, location, and room condition were excellent. If I go there alone again, I'll stay here again. Oh, there's a coffee machine on the first floor. I didn't have to go to a cafe. There's a famous tonkatsu restaurant in front of the hotel. Komeda Coffee was within 5 minutes. I was satisfied.

It was very good. The hotel staff were kind and changed the towels promptly. Please note that they only accept cashless payments.

It's about a 5-minute walk from the Chikushi Exit of Hakata Station. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel, so you won't have any trouble finding something to eat. There are also free drinks like coffee and tea on the first floor of the hotel. When I mentioned that I would be checking in late due to an event, I was informed that my reservation would be automatically canceled if I checked in after midnight, so please be careful if you plan to be late.
