Grand Base Fukuoka Tenjin

This was a decent place for a family stay. The location was great, as we could walk to most places in Tenjin and it was close to the subway. Being self-service has its pros and cons, but for our family of three staying a week, the lack of replenishment for items like towels and toilet paper was a bit disappointing. We ended up buying toilet paper ourselves from the supermarket. Also, trash wasn't dealt with for the whole week, so we ended up sorting it ourselves and collecting it in the room.

It was nice to have Korean-speaking staff. Booking through Trip.com resulted in emails and text messages, making check-in a breeze. The hotel's convenient location, within walking distance of both Canal City and the Tenjin commercial district, makes it a highly recommended choice.

Location: Near Watanabe-dori Station and Tenjin-Minami Station, just a 5-8 minute walk to the Tenjin underground shopping area. Convenience stores, small supermarkets, restaurants, and yakitori (street stalls) are nearby, making shopping and dining convenient. Service: I received an email with all the necessary check-in information before departure, and the check-in process went smoothly. There was no towel or amenity change during the stay, but since I was aware of this during the booking process, it wasn't a big deal. Note that the bathroom amenities lacked a comb or shaver, and the toothpaste only lasted about 3-4 days. Room: Two double beds were sufficient for a family of four (one bed was more than enough for two adults), with ample unpacking space. The kitchen included all cooking utensils and a microwave, and two additional features: 1) the sofa was in a separate corner for watching TV, out of the way of the bed; 2) Besides having a washing machine and laundry detergent, the bathroom's drying function was incredible! Since I wash clothes daily due to the hot weather, this was a huge help. Minor drawbacks were the pillows were a bit too soft and lacked support, and the air conditioner vent was directly facing the head of the bed. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay!

Within walking distance from Nantenjin Station. The room was spacious and clean, and I was especially happy that it had a bathtub and washing machine (detergent provided). It also had a kitchen and air purifier, so I was able to stay comfortably in an apartment-like room. As the hostel is unmanned, you will need to check your email for check-in instructions, and you will be given room details via video call.

I went to the unmanned hotel with a sense of anxiety, but it was much cleaner and more ventilated than I expected, which was nice. I definitely want to visit again next time.
