HOTEL LiVEMAX Fukuoka Tenjin West

The hotel is located in the city center, about a 10-minute walk from the subway station, making it very convenient for transportation. The room isn't huge, but it perfectly accommodates a family of four (two adults, two children). It also comes with a microwave and a refrigerator, which is really great for families.

The subway is about a 7-8 minute walk away. The room was, as expected, small. We could barely open two 24-inch suitcases, but then there was hardly any space to move around. Maybe the air conditioning wasn't on, as the bedding felt damp. I'd say it's more of an economy option.

When checking in, there were two staff members at the front desk who could communicate in simple English. However, there was a tax to pay upon arrival, which had to be done at a machine, which felt a bit redundant. The room key was also issued by a machine, and for two people, we only received one card. There were VOD sales in the hallway, which could be awkward if minors were present. 🤐 The room was quite small but allowed smoking, and an ashtray was provided. The bed and bathroom were tiny, very typical Japanese style, but we could still open our suitcase. We stayed at this hotel on our last day in Fukuoka. After self-checkout in the morning, we saw crows on the street, which are said to be a symbol of good luck in Japan~~~
