We were in the area for a family birthday celebration and didn’t want to drive home late at night. We enjoyed our quiet stay. However the GPS directions are misleading, but easy to find the hotel anyway. The Home2 Suites are spacious, well lit, and have plenty of spaces for things while traveling. The breakfast is the usual fare, or even a bit sub-par but ok. Despite a small number of people, there weren’t many offerings available that didn’t include sausage. Unless one ate oatmeal, grits or cereal, the hot breakfast sandwich options didn’t include just an egg and cheese or something similar. Several people were carrying out packages of the microwaveable breakfast sandwiches and they weren’t being replenished. The coffee was good though. Just not enough choices available.

The location was ideal for our visit to Birmingham, Alabama. There was a good selection of restaurants nearby and plenty of shopping. The rooms were a little dated but comfortable, it seemed clean but we did find a small bug. We also had a dog next store that barked constantly throughout the night, luckily we were so tired we slept through it! Housekeeping was very good! Our chair was broken and they replaced it right away! The breakfast was good, bacon one day, sausages the next along with scrambled eggs. There were also bread, fruit etc.

Stayed here with my husband for five nights as part of a long-term road trip around the USA. We were impressed with the property as a whole it is very modern and clean and we liked the complimentary breakfast. Everything was fine for the first few days . On the last day we had gone out all day for about 7 hours doing various visits we left our room at half past 9 in the morning we came back to the room at 4 to find the room not being cleaned or made up properly. My husband went down to the front desk to report this and we decided as it hadn't been made up properly to get a coffee in the foyer and wait. My husband had already spoken to the cleaner who was next door to the room we were in who showed us that our room was next on the list. After an hour's wait in the foyer we approached the reception who checked and told us the room had indeed been made up and was ready. However on arrival at the room it clearly had not been cleaned so my husband by this time rather annoyed went down to the reception and told the manager who came up to view it. Lots of apologies from the management all around but clearly the reception had been told it was ready when it was not. I would suggest that the management have a better system and clearly whoever told the reception that the room was clean and ready needs to be brought to book . I don't blame the reception staff they were only acting on information they were given on a computer which of course is only as good as whoever inputs it. Apart from that the rooms were spacious and comfortable and they was a large window with a view of the area.

We drove 12 hours from Indiana & arrived about 2 am - tired! Front desk lady said we didn't have a reservation for Fri. because it is Saturday! - something about Wyndham clearing the system & no record of our confirmation #.. I booked directly through Wyndham but she called it a "third party". I had her call W. because the cancellation policy was to charge if not cancelled by Thurs. night. Hadn't been charged but I was too tired to argue much. Finally had a room about 3 am. We had 2 dogs & wanted first floor - which she finally gave us after offering 2nd floor. Either she needs more training on the computer system or it is very inefficient from Wyndham. Used to be a no-charge for pets hotel but is now $20 per pet. Room was OK but paper thin walls & can hear toilet sounds above. Breakfast was good with Biscuits & gravy, eggs, waffles, etc. & lady attendant was nice. We won't be staying here again & not sure I trust any Wyndham hotels because of their reservation system. We travel a lot & I'd never run into having a guaranteed reservation DISAPPEAR because we hadn't arrived by an arbitrary time we didn't know about. Something is screwed up somewhere!

We stayed there 2 weeks ago and was very nice. I went by and asked if I could check in early and they allowed me to and was very nice room. Enjoy it very much. The only complaint was the water in the shower saying hot and cold is backwards. But I found it the hot water. Will always stay there. When in town for the Sacred Harp Convention. The staff was great. Even the night person gave us some plates to where we could have a little dessert with friends in the lobby.

This hotel had pros and cons, so I'll start with the pros. The bed and bedding seemed new and comfortable. Some of the furniture looked fairly new. There was a refrigerator and microwave. However, the cons were many. We were given no info at check in, like wifi password, breakfast info, etc. I didn't even have to show ID, or sign anything. The grounds were quite rundown (pool was closed but left open to the elements, garbage can tipped over, lights outside rooms were flickering on and off, maintenance panels were open in walkways). We had to park in the back of the building, but our room faced the front, it's an odd set-up. The bathroom was very old and crusty. There was barely anything to eat in the breakfast area, so we didn't even bother. At check out there was no receipt, I was told it would be emailed to me. It felt like no one wanted to bother doing anything, so they didn't.
