Hotels in Changbai Mountain Wanda Resort, Baishan

If you're traveling with kids and prefer convenience, avoiding long walks like I do, then this is definitely the hotel for you. Everything is super close, so there's no need for park transportation, which means it doesn't matter if you're driving or not – all amenities are within walking distance. Many say it's old, but I think it's fine; with kids, I actually prefer older hotels to avoid formaldehyde residue in newer ones. The washing machines and dryers in the self-service laundry room looked very clean, and it was so convenient to wash adult outerwear. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic; despite a minor hiccup during check-in, it was resolved smoothly. The one-bedroom suite's bedroom isn't huge, so I'd recommend it for two people. During the day, with my child in the bedroom and me on the living room sofa, it was perfectly adequate. And of course, a balcony is essential when traveling with kids for washing and drying – things dry incredibly fast out there. Looking down at the commercial street below, with distant views of the cable car and the mountaintop, was very pleasant. Despite being on a main street, it was exceptionally quiet at night! I recommend the Jinhua Suite!

As an IHG property, despite its age, it doesn't feel dated at all; the maintenance is excellent. Compared to the currently ubiquitous HUAZHU hotels, the breakfast here absolutely outshines them – it's incredibly generous and of high quality. Perhaps due to its location within a resort area, it's very quiet at night, and I slept incredibly soundly. The room is also quite spacious, certainly larger than many HUAZHU properties. As a long-time IHG loyalist, I naturally have a soft spot for IHG hotels, so I definitely want to give it a five-star rating! Of course, I also have to mention a minor point, which is a common issue in many hotels: while the external soundproofing is excellent, the internal sound insulation is only average, and you can still hear some noise. However, compared to the excellent service, it's hardly a deal-breaker. An established hotel like this is definitely still trustworthy!

My two-night stay at Wanda Jin Resort was excellent. The room was spacious, clean, bright, and offered great views. Even before check-in, a dedicated hotel butler was assigned to us. They proactively shared weather updates, suggested activities with timings and locations, and even provided a local map. This personalized service was incredibly thoughtful and extremely helpful. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and assisted with our luggage. Breakfast offered a rich and varied selection, and we also enjoyed a complimentary afternoon tea. The hotel's location is very convenient for accessing the West Slope (Changbai Mountain), with a free shuttle service available. The drivers were attentive and patient. Furthermore, the area around the hotel boasts plenty of dining options, including KFC, McDonald's, Starbucks, and many local restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised by how convenient this resort is for all aspects of a vacation – dining, accommodation, and transport. The resort itself is quite large. For those who rise early, it's possible to take the cable car up to catch the sunrise. Overall, it was a very satisfying trip, and I would definitely return.

The room was good and the bed was massive, but the air conditioning wasn't very powerful. Fortunately, Changbai Mountain gets cool at night, so opening the balcony door allowed for a comfortable sleep. The illuminated lawn (which serves as a ski slope in winter) was a great spot for an evening jog; it was truly refreshing. Pros: A wide range of activities, well-rounded facilities, and an excellent hotel location (though its proximity to the commercial street meant it could be a bit noisy). The breakfast spread was generous. Cons: The air conditioning wasn't cooling adequately, the swimming pool only opened at 1 PM, and the Hanla Mountain Hot Springs were extremely overcrowded.

Heading to Changbai Mountain before the National Day peak, choosing the Wanda Sheraton Resort was absolutely the best decision. Not only did we avoid the crowds, but we also got a double surprise in terms of location and service – our experience was directly maximized! The hotel's location is a 'gem'; we could walk to the ski resort and all sorts of entertainment options. No extra time spent traveling means you can head out whenever you feel like it, which is incredibly convenient for tourists. But what truly made this trip exceed our expectations was the five-star-plus service from Concierge Butler No. 2. From actively taking our luggage and meticulously explaining the facilities upon arrival, to consistently 'anticipating our needs' throughout our stay: noticing we wanted more rest, they proactively arranged a late check-out before we even had to ask; fresh fruit and local snacks were replenished daily without fail. They even discreetly prepared double slots for an entertainment activity we had mentioned. Every single detail showed thoughtfulness, truly putting the guests' needs first. With a comfortable environment, convenient location, and the warm service provided by Butler No. 2, this trip was perfect. I'm already looking forward to winter, to return here and hit the slopes on skis, and to once again experience this wonderful feeling of being so well taken care of.

Changbai Mountain Wanda International Resort is absolutely stunning this season! The free breakfast was generous, and the complimentary water park, hot springs, and cable car were all incredibly fun. Every spot was picture-perfect, no filters needed! A special thank you to Kevin Liu, the manager at the Yuhua Hotel. We stayed for two days, and the West Slope's Heaven Lake was closed for maintenance. Mr. Liu was so helpful, warning us each morning about the closure an hour earlier than the official announcement. This gave us enough time to plan other activities. Even though we didn't get to see Heaven Lake, leisurely enjoying this beautiful resort in China was still a wonderful trip. Looking forward to our next visit!

Facilities: Excellent hardware, all Lelabo toiletries. The lobby is beautiful, modern Chinese style, though a bit small. Cleanliness: Very clean. Friendly housekeeping staff. Environment: The quietest area in the Wanda Resort, especially beautiful after the snow. The villas are quite charming. Service: Qualified for a Park Hyatt hotel.

Facilities: While the facilities are a bit dated, you can still tell they were originally fitted out to a high standard, maintaining a certain level of quality. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable. Location: The location is excellent, very close to all the attractions and dining/shopping spots within the resort, so there's no need to rent a car. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was very good. Toiletries were replenished promptly, and the unlimited supply of bottled Changbaishan spring water was genuinely delicious. Overall Experience & Value: This hotel is one of the more affordable options within the Wanda Resort. I was a bit hesitant when booking, but it truly exceeded my expectations. The biggest highlight is the hotel's private hot spring. It's incredibly convenient to enjoy, and I learned that all other hotels in the resort used to send their guests here for hot spring access. Seeing other guests lugging their bags to the hot springs while I could simply stroll downstairs in my bathrobe gave me a real sense of privilege.

On the evening of August 4th, between 6:10 PM and 6:30 PM, the yellow-clad female staff member at the counter near the stairs asked us how far in advance we should arrive to go to the airport. She said she didn't know and told us to ask the concierge at the door. A while later, we took the elevator and found our room card wouldn't work. We went back to her again (because the other counters were busy, her counter was empty) and after a long while, we finally got it working. As soon as we left, she called us back and said it wasn't working, and asked the colleague next to her to do it. This delayed our last chance to go to the grass skiing!!! We went back to the room to drop off our things and then went to the grass skiing, but we missed it by three minutes. Why was someone who couldn't even answer a question and randomly handed it to another colleague, someone who couldn't even renew a room card, standing at the counter? Was she wasting the guests' time? If she didn't know how to do it, she could ask someone else. She directed the guests to the concierge. Please check the hotel's security cameras to see who this staff member was. Why was she so incompetent? She didn't even know the basics. Shouldn't they have more training? If you can't do anything, don't waste everyone's time at the counter. This is a disaster for the entire Hyatt.

Hygiene: This is truly the top concern. I rarely write Ctrip reviews, but the hygiene here was genuinely poor, though it might be partly due to the season. However, the moment I opened the window and pulled down the screen, I was utterly disgusted... Bugs were just dropping down, pitter-patter, and my scalp literally crawled. The frosted glass in the bathroom area was so dirty it was laughable... Service: Let's talk about service first. The butler-style service was excellent, no complaints there. But for the hotels within the Xipo Resort area, this is basically standard. Facilities: Genuinely old. The facilities are essentially on par with budget chain hotels like Home Inn or 7 Days. Environment: The surrounding environment is decent. Parking during holidays is indeed a nightmare, but that's not the hotel's fault; it's like that throughout the resort. The hotel's internal environment is quite distinctive and offers a good play area for children under ten. Then, humorously, after checking out, I saw that during the same period, prices on Ctrip and ** were quite different, a real slap in the face. To summarize, Xipo Resort is more suitable for families with younger children, but those with high standards for hygiene and accommodation facilities should think twice. This was the worst hotel of our entire trip... hands down, and it was the main reason we left Changbai Mountain a day early. Luckily, all my Ctrip bookings were cancellable on the same day. The sheer number of bugs still makes my scalp tingle just thinking about it.
