Staying at a hotel within the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys historic district is an absolute gem for its location. The scenic area is right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to explore at night and then return. The Chinese-style courtyard offers an elegant ambiance, and the rooms are equipped with smart devices and separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. They also have a well-appointed laundry room and gym, and the breakfast includes local snacks. Since it's a renovated historic house, vehicles park in an adjacent lot, and you'll need to walk a short distance with your luggage. Overall, it's a great experience and my top choice for a trip to Fuzhou. Amenities include a self-service laundry room with washing and drying machines, a small gym, and a public tea room. The mini-bar is replenished daily for free, and breakfast features local Fuzhou snacks (fish balls, Laohua). The service generally receives high praise; they offer umbrellas on rainy days, and there's a small souvenir upon check-out.
