Zhuzi Mansion Hotel Fuzhou

The hotel is located in the city center, in Zhuzi Lane, and is very close to Sanfang Qixiang (Three Lanes and Seven Alleys), just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel isn't very large, and neither are the rooms, but they are well-equipped with smart toilets and Xiaomi TVs, and a mini-fridge. The only downside is that it can get noisy when there are a lot of guests, especially during breakfast and when housekeeping is cleaning, as the door closing sounds can be quite loud, making it hard to sleep in. The service, however, was great. On the first day, there was a mix-up with the rooms due to another guest having the same name. I didn't even notice, but the front desk called me specifically to correct the room, deliver my luggage, and even offered a complimentary breakfast! The breakfast was quite rich too.

The hotel is located within the scenic area, very close to all the famous attractions. The breakfast was delicious, especially the fish balls – they were amazing! The environment is also great; you can hear birds chirping in the morning. The service was very thoughtful; they even added us on WeChat early to communicate.

The location and surroundings are excellent, and the service is very welcoming. If you're driving, be sure to communicate with the front desk beforehand and ideally locate the hotel on the map yourself, otherwise it's easy to miss the entrance.

This hotel is located inside Zhuzifang, a bit far from Sanfang Qixiang. What's more, there are no clear signs, whether on the main road or inside the alleyways. The main entrance also faces towards the park, so when I checked in, I was dragging my luggage in the rain and had to search for quite a while to find the hotel, which was really inconvenient. After checking in, I mentioned it to the front desk, and they just claimed it was because the neighborhood doesn't allow signs to be put up. Is there really nothing that can be done? Obviously not! Since guests are asked to add the front desk's WeChat, why can't they send directions to find the hotel via WeChat before check-in? Even most B&Bs manage to do this. Is the HUAZHU Group now too big and successful to care? Service: Other than that, the service was okay, pretty warm and polite. The welcome snacks were quite plentiful, but you have to go to the front desk to get fruit, which is a bit inconvenient. Facilities: The room is really small, even for non-basic room types. Although there's a decent-sized balcony with a table and chairs, there's no roof. It rained both days I was there, which was a real waste. The bathroom ventilation is just so-so, and although there's a window, it's not convenient to open. The value for money is average. Hygiene: Pretty good, I didn't notice anything amiss.

Let's praise the芙蓉(Furong) Bathtub King Room: it has the best spot on the terrace for enjoying the view and having tea. Hotel's hidden perks: complimentary tea, free 24-hour lobby fruit/snacks, Chinese afternoon tea (can also be delivered to the room), laundry and drying service, a mini gym, use of tea sets, butler service, and breakfast with Fuzhou specialties, which is more Chinese-style.

The location is fantastic, very close to Sanfang Qixiang. The hotel has a unique style, and the complimentary afternoon tea is especially exquisite. Moreover, the hotel's service and attitude are highly professional, making for an excellent experience!
