Manong Game Lodge

We chose to stay here for one night travelling through Botswana from Zimbabwe to South Africa. On arrival at the gate we were 'greeted' by a very rude man and if we'd had a choice after a 7 hour drive we would have found an alternative. However we persevered and on finally gaining entry found the rest of the staff to be very friendly. The accommodation is very clean but more like a motel than a game lodge, with every room facing into the centre rather than out to the surroundings. We wanted to do a game drive but they weren't doing one that afternoon and we had to leave before the one in the morning. We then decided to have a drink on the viewing deck but that was closed as someone had booked it for a private meal. We then wanted a meal but most of the options weren't available. I had a salad, which was nice and fresh, my husband had the ribs but wasn't impressed. The morning breakfast was a buffet which was OK but not very warm. We left early and didn't stop to talk to the rude man on the gate. We won't go back🙁
