After flying from the UK we travelled up to Wilpattu and following recommendations by our guide Nimal enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay with Big Game in a safari tent. The ambience around the site was fantastic, the meals we enjoyed during our stay were excellent and they even made us a packed lunch for a full day in Wilpattu National Safari park. It was great fun staying in the tents and we overall had a fantastic time with the team. Thanks guys

This Camp consisted of several large 'safari' tents and covered communal areas for reception and dining. The tents had a largish sleeping area, comfortable beds provided, and a 'washroom' area at the back. The later was small, had a rather dangerously uneven floor and was awkward to access from the bedroom. There was electric power in the tents. The various areas were linked by earth tracks that got very slippery in the rain, another hazard! There was some rudiomentary lighting to mark the tracks. Dinner was a set menu and more than adequate; beer could be obtained. Breakfast was packed up to take on the safari at dawn the next day. Given that this place is a 'camp', they did a good job; it can't be fairly compared to a 'hotel', of course. For a different kind of experience, this establishment fits the bill well. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

We came with a tour group organised with mercury holidays( UK) our tents were the basic ones. They are clean and soap and toilet paper provided. Only reason for 4 not 5 rating is our shower was cold. Food was ok -we had a packed breakfast/ lunch on our safari day which was interesting- one morning they had ran out of tea! . Staff are friendly and efficient. It’s very dark, I struggled to see without a torch- recommend you bring a head torch! All in all a pleasant experience was had by all.

Very well run operation, tents very comfortable with ensuite facilities, food was good and plentiful, safari was excellent with experienced driver and guide, saw leopards, sloth bears, deers, crocodiles and rich birdlife. Highly recommend!

After our visit of Wilpattu National Park, we arrived in this wonderful eco-park just outside the national park. Since it was our honeymoon, we got an upgrade from “big game Tent” to “Mahoora Tent”. One tent with a living room, and a second tent with nice bed, and a own basic bathroom (toilet, shower and sink) The tent is wonderful, the eco- principles are executed to a lot of details (glass waterbottles, oil lamps at the tent to reduce electricity consumption, … A nice welcome drink, a bonfire before dinner, and a great location for breakfast. If you want to experience glamping, this eco-lodge is the place to be. Only negative thing was the confusion concerning the price of the glass of wine during dinner.

The tents are really nice. You know you’re properly glamping when they hang paintings in a tent, that’s a first for me. We went for the cheaper of the two tents but they upgraded us for free. The safari was excellent, almost saw a leopard but just missed it, did catch a glimpse though. The food is good but didn’t knock my socks off for a tenner per person. My one criticism is it’s expensive to eat here and you are kind of without any other options. If you’re worried about the tent living being clean, don’t. Showers are great and the place was spotless.

Living in a tent in the middle of nowhere....great experience. The tent was comfy and clean but it was very hot. The food is ok and it's all outside. The evening meal is by a fire etc which is lovely. The staff were great. The safari was fabulous seeing a leopard, elephants and bears as well as eagles and kingfisher etc.

We went on an excellent jeep safari where we saw leopard elephant sloth bear and many amazing birds. Tent was very comfortable and luxurious Very clean and everything was well organised. Food and service excellent and we particularly enjoyed the sri lankan breakfast

Really good value for money experience, camp staff including Vidarshana is very accommodating and helpful. We went on a full day safari, we were provided with breakfast lunch and other refreshments. We were upgraded to Mahoora tent from our big-game tent, which came with extra space.
