Just steps to the beach walkover, Hello, Sunshine is a perfect getaway for families (including fur-babies) or friends looking to enjoy some quality time together! This beachside cottage in Pointe West sleeps 8 guests and boasts three bedrooms (all with their own Amazon Fire Stick Smart TV), including a king bed, queen bed, and a bunk room with two sets of twin bunks, as well as three full bathrooms (two inside and one amazing, and private, full outdoor bathroom/shower). The cottage is tucked back in a charming, security-patrolled neighborhood, so you and your family can enjoy being outside without worrying about the business of the main road through the island.
We know packing for a trip can be stressful, so we hope you’ll take full advantage of all the in-home amenities offered - including a fully supplied kitchen, board games, puzzles, books, toys for the kiddos, linens, beach towels, Keurig coffeemaker, electric wine-opener, hairdryer, pack and play, baby monitor, travel-size toiletries, hammock, firepit (with skewers to roast smores, of course!), and lots of indoor and outdoor seating!
Hello, Sunshine! is the perfect place to spend a lazy morning relaxing on the patio and an afternoon enjoying the car-free beach (getting there is easy since you're only steps from two walkovers!), relaxing at the Pointe West Beach Club with a cocktail, or splashing around at the lazy river bayside pool. Be sure to listen for the ice-cream trucks that frequent the neighborhood! Spend an evening by the fire pit at the house listening to the fountains in the pond to unwind from a great day.

If you’re looking for things to do outside of Pointe West, the City of Galveston is just 25 minutes away. You can play a round of miniature golf, watch a movie, visit Pleasure Pier, tour the Moody Gardens Pyramids, swim around at Schlitterbahn Water Park, or grab some old-fashioned candy and ice cream at La King’s Confectionary. A boat launch is available across the bridge at the San Luis Pass County Park (14001 CR 257 (Blue Water Highway) Freeport, TX 77541). Use is free and it is available 24/7. This is only 10 minutes from the house. Toll applies ($2, one way) to cross bridge. There are lots of opportunities for great fishing nearby as well. We hope you’ll come and make some memories here soon!
A few ‘housekeeping’ notes:
We love dogs, and we know dogs love the beach! Your fur-babies are welcome at Hello, Sunshine! Our pet policy allows for up to two, fully house-broken dogs (sorry, no cats or other animals) for a one-time non-refundable fee of $150. If you do not disclose whether you are bringing your fur-baby or bring more than two, a $300 fee will be assessed. Pets must be leashed outdoors at all time, including while at the beach. Dogs are not allowed at the Beach Club or Sunset Pool. Dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Wristbands are required to be worn at all times while staying in Pointe West. Wristbands are $25 per person (for the entire stay – NOT per day). Kids ages four and under do not require one. Wristbands can be picked up at the front office. After booking you will receive an email from the Pointe West Beach Club for prepayment of your wristbands. Fees for wristbands are paid directly to the Pointe West Beach Club and are not included in your VRBO charges.
No prom groups or parties, please. The contract signer must be at least 25 and must be present during the stay. All holidays are rented at high season rates.
This is a vape-free and smoke-free home. No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the home, on the patio or underneath the house. A $200 fee will be assessed if additional cleaning is needed due to smoking.
Cancellation and Hurricane Policy:
There is a 30-Day Cancellation Policy for Daily and Weekly Bookings. There is a 90 Day Cancellation Policy for Monthly Rentals.
If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless: The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a 'Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area' and/or a 'mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning' area of residence of a vacationing guest. The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a 'Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning,' area, we will refund:
Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;
Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and
Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the 'Hurricane Warning' period.

Lauren was a great host who communicated well before, during and at the end of the stay. The cottage was exactly what is reflected on the website and everything was clean and ready for us. Close to the beach!
This is our fourth time to Pointe West and 2nd time to stay in a house. This house was great. Super close to the beach walkover, cute inside and overall a good space for a family of 4. Kitchen was nicely stocked with all the things you need to cook. Owners were easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay in Pointe West!
The house was great- very clean, well stocked, and just as described. The homeowner was easy to communicate with via text- asked ahead of time if we needed anything & even allowed us to stay later on check out day since there wasn't another arrival coming that day. Access to the beach was a very short walk & such a peaceful section of Galveston Beach (a real gem). Highly recommend this beach home!

Great House & Great Location!!!
We had a delightful stay at the beach house, which was not only charming but fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The access to Pointe West amenities added a touch of luxury to our vacation, and the short walk to access the beach was perfect for our crew! We spent the day basking in the sun and playing in the sand and our nights were filled with the excitement of crab hunting in the surf under the starry sky! It was a perfect (although too short) getaway for relaxation and family fun. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beachside retreat!

Relaxing Getaway!
My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing vacation at Hello, Sunshine! The house has all the amenities you could want and everything is neat and clean. The beach is so close and not very crowded. The two pools in the community are lovely and it is only a short drive to both of them. The restaurant at the infinity pool is a nice place for dinner if you don’t feel like going out. We highly recommend making a visit to Hello, Sunshine! We plan to visit again!

Great Beach Getaway
We had a joint vacation with friends. 3 teens 4 adults. Love Pointe West. Utilized the Club House Pool Daily, Ice Cream Truck Visit, Beach was never too crowed. Cuteee house very clean and well maintained. We had enough space and everything we needed. 4th of July Golf Cart Parade was sweet and we could see fireworks from house. Definitely would stay again. Communication from owners was stellar. Loved it!
