The pool area was amazing. The pool was too cold for the January day but the fish shaped hot tub was great.

The hotel is Dated clean but lacked an easy chair to relax. Only has 2 hard wooden chairs No seat pads and a small wood dated table. The door to the room was not sealed properly and allowed street noise. Electric plugs not placed properly and needed to move microwave and coffee maker on the side night table.
The rooms need to be renovated appears to be from 1980’s hotel. The king size bed was comfortable.
Gaidos adjacent seafood restaurant is the best seafood in Galveston.
Overall rate average not the best for the price
Only 1 hotel staff person working the day I arrived.

The breakfast was great but there was nowhere to sit . Options are outside, your room or your car . Not so nice in bad weather

Room was clean. My biggest complaint is the birds. We stayed there over the weekend of Jan 12th on oceanview side. There were literally like over 100 birds on cars and in parking lot. They were noisy throughout the night and morning. Hard to sleep over the noise. Some kind of deterrance needs to be done to correct this.

Overall hotel was good considering the price. A few things that could be improved on: 1. There were dark hairs in the bathtub.
2. The door needs more weather *****ping.
3. Towels were very thin.
4. Mattresses need to be replaced, you can feel the springs.
Front desk personnel were very friendly and the maintenance dept. was very responsive.

It had a kitschy feel within the rooms, but it felt like a half hearted renovation. The plumbing was loose, the water never got hot, and the room had a dead roach waiting for us.
The beds felt uncomfortable and it took a while for the room to cool down.
