Holiday Inn GALVESTON ISLAND by IHG

Booked for my son.

We opened our room once we checked in and found two dead roaches on the floor and a large stain in the carpet, the staff was nice and gave us another room as requested. Second room had no coffee and toilet seat was very loose. I had stayed in a lot of holiday inns and I hate to safe this was the worst experience over all. Staff was nice

The staff upon arrival was not friendly nor helpful. The breakfast the next morning was very sparse and there was no silverware to be found and had to find someone to help since there was no kitchen staff available

Apparently they were short staffed during my visit. I wanted to place an order at the restaurant, waited 10 or more minutes for someone to take my order, no one ever came. There were people eating who stated someone was working both the restaurant and the lobby reception. I went to the lobby, no one was there either. I left and came back 15-20 minutes later. Still no one to take my order, no one in the lobby. The coffee maker had molded coffee floating in the drip tray. quite nauseating. It made me wonder what else had not been cleaned in that room in a while.

The only complaint I had is really a stupid complaint. The Mattress was horrible. Everything about this place is awesome and we loved everything about it!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Galveston Island a couple of weeks ago, we were welcomed by a friendly, very polite and professional young man Soorma who made our stay very pleasant. We appreciate him.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room needed a little more cleaning (stains on the carpet, hair in the bathtub, and water marks or something on the vanity in the bathroom. Othan than that it was really nice, loved the view we had.

I have stayed at this hotel two times before, The first time It was terrible and we swore we would never stay there again. The second time I didn't check locations and the hotel had changed names , it was equally as terrible! this time I wasn't going to be fooled again so I looked for a Holiday Inn. Imagine my wife and I surprise when it was this hotel! she was not happy with me until we actually went in. Apparently Holiday Inn bought the hotel ,remodeled it and now I would stay again! They have done a terrific job of making it new and its still a good price.
