Clean & cosy stay, everything made easy! Great location, 5-10 minute walk to the sea and the city centre. I will definitely stay again

I had the most lovely stay at the stop. It was gorgeously decorated, cosy, comfy & clean. Brilliant location in close proximity to great restaurants and the city centre. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming. From Dorka at check-in, Alannah at breakfast and the lovely chef whose name I didn't get, every member of staff I encountered were so kind! My room was lovely, bed was very comfy and the different pillow options were a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious with a really nice variety of options and the tunes were great! The only small downside was the floors were a bit creaky when people were walking around above me and my room was a little noisy especially being at the front of the house but thats to be expected in a city centre accomodation. I popped my earplugs in and was good to go, so if you're a light sleeper pack some with you. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Galway.

Back in paradise - our second visit - September 2025 - at "The Stop" was once again a dream! After our first stay last year, it was clear: we'd be back. And this time, "The Stop" not only met our expectations, but exceeded them. Our room was, just like last time, a place of peace and relaxation. It was spotlessly clean, stylishly furnished, and lovingly prepared. Breakfast was once again a delight, and we were happy to see familiar faces serving us. The cuisine continues to impress with its refinement and quality - a true feast for the palate! It was especially nice that Emer and Russel, along with their team, remembered us - this creates an atmosphere that goes far beyond classic hotel comforts. You feel welcome, like you're staying with friends. We took everyone there to our hearts. Conclusion: Our second visit confirmed what we already knew: This hotel is a place to return to. We're already looking forward to our next visit - the third time!

Great stay in Galway. We felt very welcome and really liked the B&B l. Breakfast options were great as well, nice vegan option included :) thanks Russell, also for the pub & restaurant recommendations in the neighborhood.

The Stop was perfect for our one night stay in Galway. Our room was tiny - smallest bathroom ever - BUT the place is so stylish and beautifully curated with local artists' work. Also, every detail is carefully considered so that you have everything you need. The host Russell and his staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The parking out back is a huge bonus, and it is a super easy walk into the Latin Quarter. Don't miss the walk out to the memorial to children who died of famine.

From the minute we arrived, Russell made us feel valued and important guests. The place is spotless, breakfast is great, and location is perfect. There is not a better place to stay in Galway!
