Absolutley fabulous place, loved everything about it, location, accomodation, and the staff super friendly

What a great first introduction to Tuscany. We felt so relaxed coming here. The location is close to San Gimignano and other wonderful spots to explore. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! It was a breath of fresh air & a wonderful place to just relax (no noise). The atmosphere and space is tranquil, with clean and cozy rooms. We also loved the poolside experience during warm days (& it has a bar). The breakfast spread was great (see pic!) & we loved the trattoria for getting an authentic impression of local food and wine. Well worth your money! TIP- try to book a room near the trattoria / pool if you can. There is another building near reception which is a 5- 10 min walk down the road.

We did a review on google of the hotel itself - 5/5 and could not recommend any better as this is an incredible place. For this we wanted to review the restaurant and cooking class we took with Mauro, the chef. Each meal we had at the restaurant each night was unique and it was all ingredients from the farm there and tasted amazing. We decided to do a cooking class and Mauro taught us how to make homemade pasta, bruschetta, eggplant parm, among others. It was just myself and my wife in the class and was an experience we won't forget. We stay in touch with Mauro and he will send us recipes whenever we want to make Tuscan meals back home in the US. If you are staying at Tenuta Sant'llario the restaurant is very good and make sure to take a cooking class!

We stayed here for 5 days and loved it. The views over the hills are amazing, really how we imagined Tuscany. It is in the perfect location for daytrips to Siena, Florence etc. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices and changing daily, we also had dinner there twice as we liked it so much. The staff was incredibly helpful as due to our delayed flight we arrived quite late to the property, they had the roomkey at the restaurant for us and we still had time to enjoy some dinner. Wine choices were amazing. The room we had was a little small, but very comfortable. The only thing I would improve is the road. The first evening we accidentally took the wrong road, eventhough the hotel had sent plenty of warnings and there are signs as well. Luckily our rental car survived, but the correct road is still a bit of an adventure…

Stayed one night and had a great experience. Staff was friendly, room was comfortable, and dinner was delicious. Highly recommended for a quiet and peaceful night.

Lovely resort about 1.1km out of town. Spread out over a large property with beautiful grounds and a great Restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Felt special except for 2 fatal misses: 1/ WiFi was almost non existent in room 3 (adjacent to reception building). I'm talking 0.9mps download and less upload....unusable! 2/ A/C remote control in the room doesn't work........except of course unless you ask Reception to turn it on from their Master Switch to your room!.......saving them money (if you don't ask) but certainly not up to customer service level you would expect if they advertise AC in a quality establishment. Come on guys, these are easy issues to fix!.

We loved our vacation at the tenuta celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary! The staff were very welcoming and the grounds were beautiful! It was peaceful and enchanting! We loved the morning walk through the forest and the cypress lined path to breakfast! Each morning brought a delicious variety of pastries and egg and meat dishes! Our room was nicely decorated, clean and romantic! We were able to drive to nearby towns each day to experience Tuscany - a life long dream of mine! The pool is set amongst the olive trees and so relaxing to enjoy a spritz and the lovely surroundings! Sunsets were amazing! The road to the tenuta is a bit narrow but doable. They gave excellent directions the day before we arrived making it easy to find it.

I decided to have a nicer stop while walking the Via Franchiggena and it is just a bit outside of Gambissi Therme, so an easy walk here. Wonderful stay and resort (although in Feb and only for one night I probably missed all the nice things you could do here when the weather is nicer as the place looked beautiful). But even for a one night overnight stay, it was a wonderfully nice place. Comfortable bed and room. And the restaurant on site was absolutely wonderful--food great and prices very reasonable. Highly recommend a stop here for anyone doing the way.
