Hotel Excelsior le Terrazze

Loved this hotel for a short wedding anniversary stay. It is in a perfect location for a short stroll along the lake to the shops and restaurants of Garda. We chose a lake view room and the view from the balcony was stunning. Rooms were clean and stylish. Just quite a few beetle/bugs in the bathroom, but assume they came in through the window. We ate at the hotel on the first night and wow! Probably the best carbonara we have tasted. And the mussels were delicious. The amazing tiramisu cannot go without mention, just heaven! Breakfast was also very well organised and had a great selection. Parking is limited here, but we managed to find a space. My husband made use of the pool, but it was too chilly for me. The hotel offer complimentary tea and snacks between 4-5. Overall, we were very impressed and would definitely stay here again.

We had an excellent 10 day stay at this beautiful hotel . I am Coeliac and Vito , Alexander and the team looked after me so well . The new decor is really lovely . Brenda and I think it was Aleysha In the bar were also very attentive and always remembered to give me olives with my drink as the crisps contained gluten . We met some great people as it is such a friendly hotel . We have been 4 times now and are looking to return next year . All the staff from the cleaning ladies to reception to waiting staff kitchen and bar always had a smile on their face and made you feel relaxed and special .

loved this hotel. Small but in a great location across from the lake and only a couple of hundred yards from the ferry terminal where you can travel all over the lake. Maybe half a mile from the bus station and close to the wee town of Garda. Food great and plentiful.

Hotel was amazing; the breakfast and facilities were good. However, most of the staff members were cold towards us making us feel unwelcome possibly due to us being younger. Additionally other guests kept staring at us adding to us feeling unwelcome. Therefore I recommend if over the age of 21 or as a family.

This hotel is excellent from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. On arrival the reception is prompt and efficient. Not only do they check you in they explain all about the hotel meal times and little extras that they provide. The room was light and airy with an excellent view of the lake. The hotel restaurant offers amazing food plenty of choice and service with a smile. Breakfast is a buffet with a chef on hand to cook fresh omelettes and or fried eggs. The common parts of the hotel are light and airy and tastefully decorated. The staff are all amazing and genuine. The checkout process was also good

Beautiful Hotel- modern & very clean , Great Location, Breathtaking Views , friendly , helpful staff that couldn’t do enough ( The lovely lady at the bar makes the nicest coffee ) it was the most peaceful vacation I’ve ever had . Thank you so much

We had stayed last year and had such an amazing time we decided to return. The hotel has had a facelift which we didn’t think it needed but seeing the results it looks much better than before. Our room was beautiful as before the cleaning team are all brilliant rooms and public areas are always immaculate. Breakfast was fabulous as last year very varied choice and the setting looking over the lake who could want more. Our only slight negative we found this year was the evening meal I’m a vegetarian and my choice on the first night was pasta with tuna, they did change it but not a great start, we felt the choices weren’t as varied as last year and a few nights the ‘vegetarian’ option had fish they did always come up with something but there’s always a fish option on the menu every night anyway. The whole team were great with great service but the overall stand out for the hotel is obviously the location absolutely amazing.

Lovely stay at Excelsior Le Terazze Beautiful location overlooking Lake Garda (quality of the view depends on your room choice - so do your research if this is important to you) The hotel and rooms were kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping staff Food and beverage quality and service were excellent - they provide 'quality over quantity' here, with plenty of choice, which suited us really well Couldn't wait to see what was on the menu for dinner every day... Service from all the staff, reception, bar, restaurant, chefs, housekeeping and ground staff was excellent - wouldn't be fair to single anyone out - they were all great So - would we return? - In a heartbeat

Just returned from this lovely hotel. The hotel is perfectly situated just outside the town, just across the road from the harbour and 5 minutes from the ferry port. We booked and paid a supplement for Superior room with Limited lake view and it was definitely limited (102) couldn't see it for the trees and was facing the carpark with cars directly outside the balcony so we didnt sit out. One good thing about the room was that it was very quiet. We also booked a single room, which was a small double (120) which had a fantastic view of the lake, but you could hear the live music from the bar till 11pm. These are things that you may want to take into account when booking a room. We were on half board and the evening meals were very well presented, like fine dining and as others have said they are small portions but 4 courses, so ample food. Don't book evening meals If you're expecting hungry horse portions. All the staff and I mean all were so friendly and helpful through out our stay. Having breakfast outside every morning started our day off perfectly with plenty of variety and fantastic coffee. We felt that the bar area wasn't that inviting in the evenings especially with it being a bit chilly to sit out, it is a large area with very little seating, more like a reception area than a bar. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
