Hotel Excelsior le Terrazze Reviews

We have just returned from our second visit and it was as good as before. We booked direct with the hotel again and they arranged included transfers from the airport. Since our last visit five years ago all the public areas have been refurbished making it much lighter and more open in the bar and restaurant. We had the other one of the two front lake view rooms on the top floor with a huge terrace and this room was slightly bigger, but the same wonderful view of the lake and quayside. The hotel is a short walk from the main lakeside area and the ferry. We took the ferry to Lazise and walked the six miles back along the lake promenade and through Bardolino which helped to work off a bit of the lovely hotel food! Also took the ferry to Sirmione. Thanks to all the staff especially Vito and Donato in the restaurant, Brenda in the bar and the very hardworking lady who kept our room clean. Hope to be back again soon.

Excellent hotel spotlessly clean rooms and hotel in general. Food was excellent and staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and return to this hotel very good place for going on ferry’s also going in to Garda town lots of places too eat ( but didn’t need to) All in one word FANTASTIC

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel last week. On arrival I upgraded to a double room with pool view at extra cost. I was delighted to be able to do this as I was unable to book this through Jet2. Thank you Eliana for arranging this. The view was all I imagined it to be. Everyone I met at this hotel was welcoming and helpful. I have problems with food and Vito arranged for me to have grilled chicken every night. I was extremely grateful for this. I had the nicest lady servicing my room every day. She was so thorough with her cleaning. The two ladies in the bar/ lounge area were very pleasant as were all the waiting staff in the restaurant. As everyone says it is approximately 10 mins walk into town and very convenient for the ferries. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a small friendly hotel . Be sure to upgrade to lake view. Thank you .

Amazing place, the food and staff were lovely. All the staff from, reception, cleaning team, waiters, chefs, bar staff, were all wonderful and were so kind to us. The place was spotlessly clean. Ideally located, just a 10 min walk from the centre. We will return.

First visit to Garda. Hotel was recommended and did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Even served afternoon tea which we thought was a lovely touch. Hotel situated not far from town and ferry port. Will definitely return in the near future .

First time in Garda but hopefully not last. Beautiful hotel just 5-10 minutes walk into town. All staff friendly, helpful & welcoming. Hotel spotlessly clean including room. Slightly disappointed that our first floor Superior Room being at side of hotel had rather restricted view due to magnificent old conifers so a bit dark & just a glimpse of Lake or pool but very quiet & comfortable tho’ above kitchen & entrance. Appreciated the duvets and the maids were terrific. Food in restaurant excellent. Plenty choice at breakfast buffet and 4 courses at evening meal for half board. The primo piatto (pasta) dishes were amazing and the secondo piatto menu had one meat, one fish & one vegetarian choice. Sadly, we were usually too full for the tempting looking Dolce. We greatly appreciated the care which was taken by the chef & waiters for my husband’s onion allergy. They could not have been more helpful. Apart from that, the chef(s) worth their weight in gold. Thanks also to waiters especially Ahmed & Donato for their patience. The bar staff were also so cheerful and efficient. Elissa and Brenda, you are stars. Totally recommend this hotel. Arrivaderci

Lovely hotel, has recently been refurbished, excellent food and the staff could not have done any more for us, they were superb. The grounds are well cared for and wonderful pool. Only one slight criticism is there was no control over the room temperature , it was either too hot or too cold.

we stayed here last year and the food was better than 2023. The ratatouille was a joke ,it was like a lump of tomato with few bits of frozen veg,the veal was tough. I wrote to the hotel manager to complain but received no reply,reception said he would email me ,it has not happened. so far

What can you say, we keep coming back, our 3rd time, hotel is excellent, staff are amazing, the food is 5star,from breakfast to the evening meals, so much chose.All the staff are professional, kind and considerate, from the reception, to the cleaners who keep the hotel spotless.vitto is the main man in the restaurant, what a bloke, so kind and helpful. But all the staff are brilliant, we ll be back because we love the place.

The Hotel was excellent, good food, clean, excellent service, only one thing was not up to standard. The Balcony of our room 334 No view left or right, in front only view was the rear car park and the back of the Hotel. Very little sun due to very high trees

Beautiful hotel with great facilities in a wonderful lake-side location. My second visit and as enjoyable as 2 years ago. Restaurants, bars and local shops are within a very short walking distance. Ferries to other towns around the lake are a few minutes walk from the hotel and there is a nearby bus station which is s short walk. You will not be disappointed.

Friendly relaxing hotel. Staff very helpful and alway there to help make your holiday enjoyable. The hotel is slightly elevated above the main road so a degree of road noise is evident. Food of high quality but more choices on menu would accommodate clients better.
