Beautiful setting right on the lake, hotel is a classic Italian style, terrace is a wonderful place to chill with a drink, Barman massimo mixes great cocktails and a really friendly guy. Restaurant staff deserve a mention always a smile and very patient with our requests. 5 minute walk to port taxis, no inclines for restricted walkers, Evening meal was of a very good standard 4 course, breakfast had a limited cooked Selection could do with a omelette station. Great base to visit the lakes , other places very busy on the lake but when you return To Gardone it has a real chilled atmosphere , Highly recommend this hotel.

Our third time at Gardone but the first at the Savoy Palace. Beautiful lake side location ideal for accessing the lake ferries to explore further afield. Excellent food. The staff where without exception friendly and helpful.

Stayed with the whole family for a wedding. We had a lovely time up until there was an “event” by the pool. Which not only shut the pool and restaurant early, kept my whole family.. including my 11 month old and elderly and frail members awake. At no point was there any prior notification this event was happening and there would be quite a serious noise disturbance until midnight. Just a basic piece of paper round the pool telling everyone to leave the area. The level of music was totally ridiculous, it was so loud in the room I couldn’t even hear my husband talking next to me, so I dread to think just how loud it was outside. When complaining to reception I was told “they paid their money they can do what they like until midnight” - feel like the ultimate reason people pay to be in a hotel is to sleep was totally missed. I then sent a written complaint to management, and after chasing up a response I received a very curt, and “lip service” response. Basically telling me I had blown it out of proportion, and I was being ridiculous. I am astounded that notifying guests of a disturbance wouldn’t have been priority. Pretty disgusting, and marred an otherwise lovely holiday. I certainly would not recommend staying there due to the absolute lack of respect and focus on customer experience by the management. Clearly totally money focused only.

Spent a week her, it’s a beautiful location, lovely hotel with exceptional staff. The food was excellent and served by great staff. The rooms were well maintained and all public areas kept spotlessly clean. Muses bar and panoramic viewing terrace was just lovely. And the bar staff were without exception attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and polite. All on all would highly recommend this hotel

A lovely stay in a very well positioned hotel on Lake Garda. Very helpful staff, nice food and wonderful views from the room and terrace. Breakfast each morning on the terrace in front of the pool was a highlight. A few small quibbles around a dirty shower next to the pool and slightly better cleaning needed in the bathroom but nothing significant and certainly did not detract. Good value compared with other equivalent local hotels.

The hotel was calm and nice, with authentic vintage touch, team was helpful and hospitable. make sure you have a car rental if you intend to move around the lake at your pace, since there are 2 or 3 taxi to serve the whole village, The ferry boat is a good transport means between the villages, but it's bound by schedule. Gardone Heller is a must do for art lovers, It's a 3 mins walk from Savoy, Sirmione and Salo villages are best visited by ferries and have lots of shops and wonderful sceneries. Special thanks to Stephano at Savoy Reception, who saved us by offering help in transportation to attend the wedding ceremony.

From the minute my husband and I arrived till the minute we left, every one of the staff was helpful, pleasant and amusing. The food was excellent. Massimo the head barman and Jacamo (hope these spellings are correct) were delightful barmen. Massimo making delightful cocktails and excellent at his job. The maitre'd and his staff in dining room were pleasant, efficient and always had a smile. The food was excellent. The only down side for me was the difficulty getting in and out of the pool. The stairs did not have a rail of any kind and the first step was very deep. There was an upright ladder which is fine but if you are a larger lady and not a swimmer, as I am, it is quite difficult. I did attempt it once but found it too awkward to try again. Having said this it will not deter me from coming back to this hotel which gave me the best nights sleep I've had for a while and hope to be back next year. Thank you all.

We stayed at the Savoy Palace for 5 x nights and we really enjoyed this hotel! The location is superb, right on the front with a view of the lake, and some fantastic restaurants outside the doorstep, and a ferry dock to travel to other parts of the lake. We had a lake view room with a large terrace and it was really big, beautifully traditionally decorated, with a mini bar, and it was cleaned everyday by the really lovely cleaning ladies who did a great job. The bar is great and has a panoramic roof terrace which was beautiful to watch the sunset. The bar man Massimo was outstanding, he treated us like royalty and made beautiful cocktails. We loved him and he made this hotel very special - he is a huge asset to this hotel. There was fantastic live entertainment one evening of a singer/guitarist on the terrace which was really excellent and we really enjoyed this. We used the hotel restaurant for breakfast which was a delicious buffet selection of cooked or continental, with fresh fruit, yoghurts, sausages, bacon, cheeses, eggs etc. We sat outside on the restaurant terrace every day which was lovely and they made beautiful late macchiatos and cappuccinos for us. The restaurant staff were delightful and friendly and really looked after us. We didn’t eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant so can’t comment on this as we opted for B&B only. The pool area is a nice addition to the hotel for you to take a break from sightseeing and would like to relax and go for a swim. Plenty of sunbeds and the pool is a nice size, we enjoyed sitting here a couple of hours a day. The reception staff are extremely helpful and spent a great deal of time explaining the hotel to us and nothing was too much trouble. We felt so welcomed by them on arrival which gave a great first impression to us - this really matters. We had a massage in the on-site spa area which was excellent. The Wifi worked perfectly which is really important to us. Right around the corner is a brilliant beach bar called Rimbalzello where you can swim in the lake which was really fun. We used the ferry to travel to other towns and it was excellent I really would recommend this, and we also hired a car and drove one day which was a lovely scenic drive. My only points where they could improve would be to have a waiter periodically come around the pool to offer drinks to people, as it is nice to a have cocktail or just a normal drink whilst laid around the pool if they could offer this service it would be a nice touch. Overall the staff at this hotel are wonderful and everyone seems very happy to work here so it’s a great hotel. We loved this hotel and would definitely come back! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Beautiful hotel in Gardone Riviera on Lake Garda. Very comfortable room with balcony overlooking the lake. Nice restaurant and a terrace bar on the roof overlooking the lake. Four excellent and reasonably priced restaurants are within 200 yds of the hotel, all worth a visit. Lake boats, fast and slow leave from the pier nearby to the lower and upper lake towns. Very helpful and friendly staff.
