Mountain House Inn

Don was awesome, very informative. We will be back for sure. The hotel was situated in a great location, but it was very out dated and could use some cleaning.

We had two rooms reserved. One of the rooms, the plug for the heat/air unit was pulled out of the wall and the unit did not work. We did not see any staff at check in or check out. Our room keys were left in a box outside the office door. There was no communication from the hotel staff that we would have to pick up the keys outside. They were supposed to be open at 9am for check out, but when we left at 10:30 there was still no one in the office.

The hotel is in a convenient spot close to a lot of attractions, but the hotel itself is very outdated and in need of some remodeling.

Got there early but couldnt get room early, which was okay. We walked the *****, ate and shopped. We went back to get the room, the key wouldnt work. We were given the next room over. Man running front desk was nice. The rooms are very out dated. Mirror and walls were dirty. Heat worked well as it was only in the high 20's the second day. You get what you pay for! If youre looking for a great location thats close to the *****, with no frills, this is your place.

Room was very dated but clean. Several items in the room were missing or damaged like no toilet paper holder bar, sink light globe was broken and several switches operated nothing. The exterior lights were not on and we had to use our phone light to guide us up the stairs and to our room. There was no tissues in the room. Very limited electrical outlets for phone chargers etc. Good price but you get what you pay for.

Had everything I want/need in a motel room, and close to center of Gatlinburg at a great price. Would stay again.

My room smell terrible the batteries in the remote control to the TV didn't work they said they would bring batteries they never did I thought the staff up front and the lobby was super rude and unwilling to help I won't ever ever do that again

The room was in good condition and the staff was nice and the inn was within walking distance of the village and the sky bridge, however we didn’t have hot water in the shower

Very nice to find an old school hotel that uses real keys and real hospitality. I know eventually it will turn into corporate high-rise hotels or whatever, but it was really nice to stay with local people.
