Hampton by Hilton Gdansk Old Town

Old Town Gdansk|0.21km from Złota/Długouliczna Brama
As a Hilton Diamond I have stayed in many Hampton Inn's (as well as other Hilton's) and honestly I usually avoid them. With that said, the location of this hotel, the reviews and even the cost made it very attractive. On arrival which was MANY hours before check in. I had yet to mention my name or anything, I just asked if it was possible to check in early (even if in a few hours) and was accommodated without any issue. Ironically the person never even realized I was Diamond, never gave me snacks and all that stuff but I didn't care since I had a room MANY hours before the norm after an 8hr night train; I did receive the 'Diamond' stuff later and the person at reception apologized for not realizing it earlier or recognizing my status. Although I'd have preferred facing the front, it was a courtyard, very quiet, big room with a separate little desk area, large bed and little couch/chair. The room was very clean, the general service was great at the desk as well as in the restaurant. I am not much of a breakfast person (coffee YES!!) but the breakfast was plentiful with everything from meats, cheese, fish, hot buffet, waffles, cereal etc etc. One of the days I ate a little something and the food was fresh, hot and good. Location wise this hotel can't be beat, you are a 5 min walk to/from the waterfront, 5 min walk to the golden gate and I walked to/from the central station in 10-15 mins. Walking out the front there is a small parking lot and out the back there is a good little whisky place and a street of restaurants. 100% recommend this hotel and I will definitely be staying there again in the future.

The location is perfect. This is the beginning of the old town, the main street Dluga is just around the corner, but there are no crowds in front of the hotel. Downtown within walking distance, to the canal waterfront 10 minutes. Near many restaurants, many grocery stores of the inexpensive network Zabka (recommended). Also 10 minutes walk to the main train station, from where you can easily get to Malbork, Sopot, etc. Delicious and varied breakfasts (from 07:00 to 11:00) are served in the Rękawiczka restaurant, which can be reached on the ground floor, opposite the reception - no need to go outside. In the evening it is convenient and tasty to drink good wine, I recommend Polish homemade - it exceeded our expectations. Very nice staff, clean and warm rooms. Honest *** +, i.e. more than three stars. Thanks to the staff, we will be back :)

Amazing apartment and location BUT the service with the host was awful. They failed to send the code to the self check-in, and when they did it they sent the wrong codes. Same with Wi-Fi password that they failed to provide. A pity for such a nice apartment with so lousy service.

Perfect hotel in the perfect location. We had a deluxe room and it's worth the little extra money it cost (we paid £51 via booking.com 4 months prior) in comparison to the basic room. We had a double bed, mini bar that was topped up daily with beer, vodka, Coke, orange juice, water and pretzels. A huge round bath, robe and slippers. Check in smooth even if it was a 7 hour delay in airport and a 2.30am unexpected check in time! All staff super friendly. Didn't have breakfast although the attached restaurant did look lovely. All in a a real good stay and a good choice as it was 2 min walk to cafes, supermarket, Costa coffee. And one street down to the start of Dulga main square Street.
