We are a senior couple, Over the last 8 years, we have stayed at Astro 4 times always for weeks at a time.. Astro has always been a great experience, first it is the perfect location, then the staff is the absolute best. We give them top marks on everything.

This hotel is ideally located in the heart of Genoa. It is close to the train station, shopping, restaurants, bus lines, etc. Located on the 5th floor, it might be challenging to reach as there is only one, small elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, you could be in trouble. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. There is a tiny fridge, tv and a communal dining room. There is 24-hour check in and the rooms lock with a regular key. The wifi worked splendidly. This is a no-frills hotel in a great location. There was a constant odor of either a sewer or perhaps garbage from Il Mercato Orientale coming through my open window which I left open for some fresh air. There was no fresh air :) I would definitely stay here again.

We had a terrible experience, we had booked 3 rooms, one dirtier than the other, it was really absurd and on top of that the lady at reception started yelling at us, telling us to leave because they had bothered us with our questions, we had never been "welcomed like this" before, we will not return, not recommended

Response from Property: Good morning, I already thought it was impossible that you found it dirty, but when I read "madam" I understood... there are two possibilities: either you're at the wrong hotel, or you have bad intentions... WE DON'T HAVE WOMEN AT RECEPTION. We're all men and we never shout, especially when asking questions. We're paid specifically to offer 24/7 customer service. The only woman is the cleaning lady who never speaks. Obviously, I've reported the review. Best regards, Antonio

Ascending to the fifth floor of an elegant building with elevator access, you're immediately enveloped in a warm, family atmosphere: the reception staff is always smiling and ready to make every guest feel at home. The bright, meticulously maintained rooms offer all the modern comforts—free Wi-Fi, impeccable cleanliness, and tasteful furnishings—for a truly relaxing stay. In the morning, a delicious breakfast is served in an elegant room, also perfect for informal lunches or dinners. Each guest receives special attention, making their experience unique: courtesy, style, and genuine hospitality truly make the difference. I highly recommend Albergo Astro to anyone seeking quality and warmth in the heart of Genoa.

SMALL HOTEL IN THE CENTER OF GENOA, VERY WELCOMING. THE STAFF, ESPECIALLY THE OWNER, WERE VERY FRIENDLY IN EVERYTHING, ESPECIALLY AS I HAVE TROUBLE WALKING. THE ONLY DRAWBACK IS THAT IT'S ON THE 5TH FLOOR OF A BEAUTIFUL BUILDING. HOWEVER, IF THE ELEVATOR IS DON'T WORK (IT HAPPENED TO ME UNFORTUNATELY), WALK UP FIVE FLIGHTS OF VERY LONG STAIRS IS TORTURE. I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN AS SOON AS I CAN.

Fantastic experience, super clean, super welcoming, and very quiet. I highly recommend it!! They made me feel at home, pampered, and spoiled. The room had air conditioning and every comfort. Right in the center of Genoa, on the fifth floor with an elevator.

Good evening, unfortunately my girlfriend and I cannot give more than one star. The beds were very uncomfortable, the furniture is really old and seems dusty. The breakfast seemed very humble to us: rusks etc. Nothing special. Unfortunately, we woke up with a back pain and the room was also hot. I can't imagine the furniture being completely wobbly in a few months.

Insane noise! I stayed three nights for an important work meeting following the municipal elections, but I really didn't sleep a single night. It was so noisy, and the alley where this hotel is located is really dangerous. After the first night, I kindly asked for a refund, but *********** refused, and they don't recommend it!

Hotel with a strange smell, it seemed moldy but I'm not sure. Poor breakfast. Rude and unprofessional receptionist. We won't be back! It's 2025 and there are still places where you can smoke (a smell of smoke in all the rooms) both mine and my daughter's. Poor thing, she also suffers from asthma and I won't go any further. The positive reviews seem fake. When you go there, you find yourself in another hotel. Plus, my wife ended up with these bites on her foot. Never mind, maybe there are some fleas in the bed too!!!

Excellent location, close to tourist attractions and super easy to get around by subway or bus. Large, clean room, with a very good bathroom too. The receptionist was super polite and helped us with everything we asked for. I definitely recommend it.

Terrible experience! Poorly organized and extremely rude. We had booked a week but due to the inconvenience we left after one night. With the children all bitten by bed bugs, it was shocking, guys, we ran to the pharmacy and had to throw away our clothes, also causing ourselves financial loss.

Terrible experience, uncomfortable beds and smell of smoke in all the rooms. We thought we were going to have fun, we were so happy to spend a weekend with the children. But the gentleman at the reception was rude and the structure was not very welcoming. It was the first time we had a bad experience in Liguria.

I was truly impressed with the Hotel Astro! Despite being a one-star hotel, it offers so much more than you might expect. The room was clean, tidy, and quiet, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff was welcoming, always smiling, and available to provide tips on what to see in Genoa. The location is excellent: just steps from Brignole train station and close to the historic center and the Aquarium. Excellent value. Perfect for a weekend getaway, whether for business or pleasure. I recommend it without hesitation and would gladly stay here again!

I stayed in this dump in August. Everything smelled, including the sheets, linens, and towels. The only positive thing was the kindness of the receptionist. It was a nightmare. Since I stayed in many other places at the same price, I'd say the value for money wasn't satisfactory either. I wrote the same thing in August, but somehow my review hasn't been traced.
