It a old hotel, but well kept👍.
The TV is ancient.
The hotel needs to refurbish ASAP.🙏
The staffs is all very friendly and approachable.
Except 1 staff at the reception during my checkout.
It 11.30am on 29Nov, when I arrived at the reception.
A Chinese male staff( slightly plump) just said to me : checking out.
Without any smile in a uninterested and bored tone.
Every staffs has did a wonderful job , but it takes only one staff to make it a not so pleasant visit.
First of all, as a service provider especially in the front line.
The basic mannerisms and greetings must be present.
Like; Good morning sir.
But none of it was displayed by him.
To make it worse, he didn't smile at all, and doesn't seem to be interested in serving his guests.
Other than that, everything is awesome especially a male malay reception staff.
I forgot his name, he has displayed a friendly and helpful image to everyone.

A good location where we can walk to the mall nearby, the new gurney garden just opposite.. lots of food choices at walking distance..my son was surprised with the birthday decorations and cake..

It was a good trip, sadly I booked the wrong dates one day earlier. Did not managed to get a refund from the hotel. It had a nice spa room for men with hot cold pools, sauna and steam very nice way to relax during rainy seasons.
Saturdays they have seafood buffet which are 20% off for hotel guests. Not the best ever but for the price the crab legs and lobsters were worth.

I had a pleasant stay at Parkroyal Hotel. The parking facilities are excellent, with ample parking lots available to meet any demand, all monitored by CCTV for added security. The staff were consistently friendly and professional throughout my stay, especially the team member who assisted with my check-in on the first day (unfortunately I didn’t get his name).
All the staff I encountered were attentive and accommodating, always trying their best to assist with any requests. I also enjoyed the beautiful sea view from my room, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, a comfortable and welcoming experience — I would definitely recommend Parkroyal Hotel.

I stayed at this hotel in Room 807. The hotel is very beautiful and the room I received met my expectations. However, when I wanted to make coffee in the room, the cup had stains, and the bedsheet also had stains that were covered with liquid paper, but it was still acceptable. The breakfast was very delicious with a wide variety of choices.
What really needs attention is the attitude of the front office staff. They should be more friendly towards guests, regardless of status. I checked in and checked out with the same staff member. Does this hotel provide training for staff to serve only certain guests? This is a 5-star hotel, not a budget hotel. The staff had no eye contact, no smile, and not even a greeting. He didn’t even ask how our stay was. I usually stay in 5-star hotels and the staff are always very friendly and kind, but this particular staff member did not seem suitable to be at the front desk.
However, thanks to Mr. Malik from the Front Office for his good service when we inquired about a late check-out.

The hotel looks a little old, but everything is really well maintained and clean. The facilities are great, especially the gym. It’s fully equipped with dumbbells, barbells and all kinds of machines for different workouts. There’s also a sauna, steam room and hot and cold jacuzzis, all in good working condition.
The location is perfect, right along Gurney Drive. Get a sea view room if you can because the view is amazing whether it’s sunrise or sunset. It’s also super convenient with Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon just a short walk away, and plenty of food options nearby. Taking a Grab to town takes only about 10 minutes.
Breakfast was really good too. There’s a wide mix of local and international dishes that change daily, plus an egg and roti canai station where you can order fresh.
Service was okay, though the staff weren’t as warm as I expected from a five star hotel. Overall, it was a comfortable stay in a great location with solid facilities and food.
