Urban Suite Cozy Family Homestay at Georgetown by URBAN STAYCATION LOD

The night before check-in, we suddenly received a WhatsApp message asking us to pay a 150 MYR deposit. We were overseas at the time, and bank transfers incur fees. We were utterly confused and wondered how we could possibly do it with a flight the next morning. I hope this issue receives special attention. Upon arriving at this home stay, we found that the photos were significantly different from reality. Since we were only staying for three days, we decided to tolerate it. Later, when we planned to boil eggs for breakfast, we discovered the pans and pots in the kitchen (as pictured) were truly indescribable. The pan was greasy, and the pot was completely burnt. Also, the bathroom door was very old, and the drainage in the living room's bathroom was poor. Furthermore, the cracks in the wall were quite severe. I hope these issues are given special attention. Additionally, the location was quite remote. We initially booked it because we saw 'George Town,' but it turns out this homestay is not actually in the George Town area. If you're interested in booking this accommodation, be sure to double-check the location. This stay has made me hesitant to visit Penang again in the future. 😔

I stayed here over the New Year and had a really bad experience. 1. There weren't enough towels for everyone. 2. The bathroom was dirty, like it hadn't been cleaned at all, and the bathroom door was broken. 3. The AC in all the rooms wasn't cooling. 4. The blankets were extremely thin and scratchy, and again, not enough for the number of guests. 5. The bed mattress was hard. 6. There was no bottled drinking water provided, only tap water. ***Warning: The service is terrible, absolutely no service mind whatsoever.*** In summary, I was very unimpressed and do not recommend this place.
