It's a great place to stay, but the people I met on the day weren't all that friendly. However, it's better than other accommodations in the city. Recommended

This was my first time traveling abroad alone, and for safety reasons, I booked a highly-rated all-female hostel. I arrived in the evening, and it was self-check-in. There were comprehensive instructions posted at the entrance. I added the hostel manager on WeChat, and they confirmed with me and sent me detailed hostel usage rules. The room was quiet and clean, very comfortable overall. I met other girls traveling alone in Penang, and we chatted naturally! I was very happy. The hostel manager was very welcoming, and on my last day, she even gave me a hug and recommended pear and plum juice, which I think is a drink only available there.
