Pros; location. The water is crystal clear, the beaches are breathtaking. The boat that went to the mainland hourly ran on time the whole time we were there (7 days). Cons: bedbugs. My husband, daughter and I are covers in bites. I reached out to the resort to tell them and they have not responded at all. I cannot believe I just paid $785 a night to stay there. We chose not to pay the extra $2,400 for the all inclusive option. Thank goodness. We were on the beach every day and on only day was there any employee that walked around asking if guests wanted beverages. We went to the restaurant the first night we arrived. We had 6:30 reservations. We were told that the only menu options that were available were a salad, a soup, polenta and mashed potatoes. We were so hungry we ordered everything available. 2 hours later our food had not come out so we left. The staff members are not rude, just seems like they don’t really care. Very disappointed.

Spent 6 nights at Kahari for our honeymoon and it was the perfect blend of stunning location, friendly staff and unobtrusive service. We originally planned to do some excursions, but barely left stunning property other than to hike, paddleboard, kayak or chill at nearby chat & chill! When we did leave, we were eager to come back. The food is pricey but the location makes ip for it. We tried a few other restaurants on Stocking and Exuma and the Beacon and the Beach Club were wayyy better. We also did the candlelight dinner on the beach, which was really special. Chef Valerio is a true talent (having trained in Michelin starred restaurants in Paris and Milan) but his talents might be a bit wasted here.., we appreciated them!!! Also Nicole went above and beyond for us, she is a gem. Giavante at the Beach Bar was also always ready with a big smile. We will be back!

Lovely, quiet resort on Stocking Island. Our room was lovely, bed comfortable. Couldn't have asked for more there. The Peace & Plenty Beach Bar was very nice there. The Conch Salad prepared by Shepard was one of the best things I've ever tasted. Amazingly good. One of highlights of the trip. We also enjoyed the wraps at the Beach bar there.

Stayed 9 nights in bungalow 6 on the beach. Bungalow was beautiful, roomy, comfortable with a great view! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping did a great job. Lamon was very nice and helpful! Ate dinner at The Beacon 5 times and loved everything! The staff...Muriel, Kendon and Brandon were so nice (all staff were but can't remember all their names). The boat to and from Peace & Plenty was always on time and the staff we friendly and reliable. Highly recommend stopping at the grocery and liquor store before heading over on the boat from Peace & Plenty. Stock up on drinks and snacks. There are microwaves in the room, also a Nespresso coffee maker (brought my own original nespresso pods with me). Only suggestion would be adding Keurig coffee makers or even a regular coffee machine...the nespresso is loud when someone else is sleeping and also just makes small cups so had to run a few times for a large cup. Also they need to add full length mirrors to the bungalows. Loved the Peace & Plenty Beach Club next door....Cassandra was amazing and the sweetest! Being able to walk over to Chat N Chill was great....love that place! We would definitely stay here again and again.

Wow wow wow. What an amazing place. Wild, gorgeous. We couldn’t believe the beauty of this island. Everything is just a walk or a boat ride away. Amazing place for families to vacation! Our kids had so much fun running around and cottage hopping with the other families we went with. We will definitely be back!!

My husband and I planned a much needed vacation last year at the Kahari. We had to cancel twice due to unforeseen circumstances. The Kahari honored our reservations until we could eventually get there. We arrived in early May for 8 days. It is a beautiful spot on Stocking Island. The water and views from our room were spectacular. The staff is oh, so friendly. They are there if you need them, but will leave you alone for your own peace and quiet. Lamon, KK, Desmond and Sheppard were awesome. We became like family. The Beacon Restaurant was delicious, and Chef Tito knows exactly what he is doing in the kitchen! Chocolate and all the others at The Beach Club were amazing. They are the best drinks in Exuma! All the boat captains took very good care of us as we traveled back and forth from the main island and Stocking. Azya, the property manager, was ever so helpful with our reservations and anything else important that we needed. We cannot wait to go back! Thank you Kahari for giving us the vacation we truly needed!

My wife and I had a fantastic trip to Kahari. The resort is beautiful and the room was cozy and comfortable. Being on Stocking Island was great. We experienced both awesome sunrises and sunsets. The whole place was peaceful and amazing. We felt that the island was our playground. The staff went out of there way to be helpful. The food was truly excellent. We will return again.

If you want a lot of people and action, loud music, and late night parties, this is not the place for you. The Kahari Resort offers an exclusive beach getaway that is hard to find. It is quiet, relaxing and and at times you feel like you have a private beach. Mon, the Concierge, seems to be the man who knows everyone (or someone that knows someone) to help with your every need. He makes an effort to speak to each guest daily and does what he can to make your time relaxing and enjoyable whether that is getting reservations somewhere, arranging transportation, or in our case, arranging a COVID test on a Sunday when the clinic was closed. All employees were pleasant, polite, and seemed to take pride in their work. The bungalows are spacious and clean with many windows for great views and a nice screened in porch. There is a small refrigerator with an ice maker, a microwave, a Nespresso/Coffee maker, and sink in the kitchenette area. The bathroom is small, but functional and the outside shower is a unique feature. The beach chairs are padded and comfortable. There are options for sun and shade on the beach. The restaurant on the property has a changing menu for dinner. It is very pricey ($40-$50 dinners, $20 for a glass of wine) but the food was good. It is also a convenient dining option. However you can walk over to the little beach bar area at the Peace and Plenty or down to Chat and Chill to order something else. You can also take the boat into Georgetown for more options. Because the size of the resort is so small, you tend to see the same few guests each day and it is nice to get to know them better. There becomes a little sense of community within the resort. When we were there, there was an older couple there from London, a mother there with her 18 year old daughter from the southwest, a younger 30 something couple from D.C. We are in our 50's and from the Midwest. The point being, the place is good for a variety of ages of people from different places if you just want a quiet, pretty little corner of the world for a vacation.

WOW. What an absolute gem of a resort. I was a little (read: VERY) nervous as our trip dates approached as the resort had been getting some bad reviews but my worries melted away the second we landed at GGT. Our flight got delayed in Miami so I called ahead to let Geneisha know that we would be arriving much later than expected. She assured me that all would be OK and let John, the driver, know we were running late. We touched down and John was waiting for us outside of the airport with a sign, welcoming us to the Island. John is a fantastically warm human being. We arrived at the boat dock right on the 7pm hour and met the boat driver who whisked us away to paradise. Geneisha promptly checked us in, offered us welcome drinks and showed us to our room while giving us a brief tour of the property along the way. Our bungalow was right on the beach (#3) and it was AMAZING. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, from lounging on the beach, to hiking to the Atlantic side of the Island, to wading over to Chat n Chill for Conch Salad and feeding the sting rays. We cannot wait to go back. One particular bright spot was Ginger the resort cat. Ginger ran up to us the first night and we were smitten. She slept on our balcony our entire stay, curled up in our laps and was just the sweetest addition to our trip. Addressing some of the bad reviews: 1) Boat Service: we never had any issues with boat service or a lack thereof. It was always on time and though we had several drivers, they were always smiling. RJ was always helpful with our bags and had such a great attitude. 2) Staff: We had ZERO issues with the staff. Honestly, Ive never been to any hotel that had better staff. Everyone was always smiling and so very friendly. Yes, you are on your own after hours but Geneisha was there until 8pm every night and was back by 7am the next day. She has the warmest smile and was always available to answer any questions we had. We had zero issues with staff our entire stay. 3) Towels & Water: Lynn made sure we had fresh beach towels every day. She would check on us throughout the day, asking if we were doing good or if we needed anything. She is an absolute KEEPER! (Her suggestion of ordering the Mahi wrap from the beach club was SPOT ON! Just do it, you wont regret it). House keeping brought fresh water bottles each day but if we were ever in need, we just walked up to the Lookout and grabbed one. 4) Food: The Beacon for dinner was not very good. Since our flight was delayed we had time to eat in Miami and I am glad we did. We ordered appetizers at the Beacon and they were over priced and just weren't very good. Breakfast was a different story. The Pancakes were delish but again, expensive and it was an off day for sitting on the patio as the wind was blowing the smell of trash right into our faces. All that being said, Nell has style and flare and seems like she would be a blast to hang out with outside of the resort. She is a fantastic waitress. We only had two
