Reviews of Rare Heritage House

The hotel is located between Haiqian Street and Datie Street, not far from Chew Jetty and Mural Street. Our room was near Datie Street (the hotel's back entrance), so we could hear cars, but it wasn't too noisy. The room was on the second floor, with a large bed and two separate rooms, making it suitable for a family trip. The sink was inside the toilet room; it would be better if there was a sink in the shower area too.

Location not bad, clean, not noisy, everything is fine. Will book again if come again.

This was by far the worst experience booking a hotel through Trip.com. I have no idea where all the good reviews come from... The towels were stained and had a strange, unpleasant smell, and so did the bedsheets. Although the front desk promptly arranged for staff to change the towels after I reported it, the replacement towels were badly frayed. If I hadn't already booked two nights in advance, and didn't want the hassle of changing hotels, I definitely wouldn't have put up with it and extended my stay.

We had a great time staying at Rare Heritage House Penang. Hotel staffs were all friendly and can even speak Thai! The room was clean and have amenities that needed for traveler. Our room has Jacuzzi which was relaxing! The location was also 10 out of 10 in the walking distance to almost every highlight of heritage sites. We would like to recommend this place and will come back for sure if we come back here.

Quiet and charming, I'm very satisfied.

Location is great , certain room section is dusty, shower is leaking. Overall is a good stay especially its location . Will recommend to friends if interested to explore the heritage row.

I think it's great!

It's a low heritage building with two floors. The sink in our family room was very tiny. The hygiene could be improved. However the location is excellent, only two minutes walk from the jetty. Also there is a convenience store right next to it. The WiFi was not working the entire time I was there. However the price is agreeable.

This hotel has a Nanyang architectural style and a great location, making it convenient to get anywhere. We booked a two-bedroom suite for five people, which came with three large beds. At just over 600 RMB during the spring season, it was excellent value for money.

The hotel's location is decent, right next to Surname Bridge. The overall facilities are just average. In the suite I stayed in, the bathroom drain wasn't very good, and there were tiny ants crawling everywhere, which was a pretty serious issue. It's quite quiet though, and it felt like a lot of the shops nearby were closed, so it's not the most bustling area, but the value for money is still okay. There's a small sofa bed downstairs, which isn't very comfortable, and the cleanliness is a bit concerning.

No slippers, which made showering very inconvenient. The towels were also old and worn 🤪. The room was a bit small, but luckily the location was convenient for getting around.

Great stay! The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back again.
