Corissia Princess Hotel
"We looked at the Corissia Princess via two tour companies, but decided to book direct. Firstly, it was cheaper to do so and they also offered to collect us personally from the airport which was a massive plus. Ryanair was of course an hour late in arriving, but our driver was waiting for us with a very clear sign, a smile on his face and a cold bottle of water and a chocolate bar for us both! We had booked half board and arrived at gone 22.00 so too late for an evening meal, but a small picnic in a bag had been left for us at reception. We were upgraded as well, which was nice, and in the room was a bottle of wine and a box of Greek Delight sweets. Sorted! Buffet breakfast was just perfect, with a nice layout and plenty of variety, and the same with the evening meal. The later meal was laid out the same, with starters, salads and mains in different areas, but the hot meals varied each night, which was appreciated, and extremely well cooked! We had to walk about 150m up the beach to the restaurant, but that was no problem. To walk by the side of those beautiful calm waters every day was a privilege. For those with walking difficulties, they were driven up to the restaurant by the staff in a golf cart. The rooms were spotless and cleaned each day, cleaners were always present and the beach is literally across the road, with the sea less than 10m from the road. If you are after a place to relax and soak up the sun, this is it. The hotel is part of a chain within Georgiopoulos, but you can use the facilities in the other hotels such as the pools etc, but the gym is extra. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and nothing was an issue to them. If they could help out, they would, and we wholeheartedly recommend them as holiday location. There were far more Germans in the hotel and indeed the resort than there were English people, so the majority of the signs about hotel information and trips etc were in German, but it was no problem asking the questions in English as the staff were eager to help. "
Corissia Beach Hotel
"We recently stayed in the family apartment at the Corissia Beach Hotel. First off there are free transfers to and from the airport! This was so convenient and fantastic. The cars were clean and they provided water. The apartment is in a building just up the street from the main hotel. The family room is actually 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies which was lovely. The rooms are quite spacious. The rooms have a safe and refrigerator and two wardrobes. There was no iron and the storage space for clothing was quite limited. More drawers or hangers were needed to store everything. On the plus side there was a dryer rack outside with clothes pins to dry swimsuits and hang towels. This is quite important as replacement beach towels are not free. This hotel charges to swap beach towels! After a week stay to be told we had to pay to swap towels was just not acceptable. The rooms itself was clean but daily housekeeping was hit or miss. Also the housekeeping put cute shapes on our bed using a sheet but it happened to be the sheet for the bed so we were forced to make our beds daily as the sheet wasn’t on the bed - it was made into a bow. It was a minor inconvenience and odd. Also the room showed signs of wear and tear. There were bugs on the walls and dirt in crevices that are harder to clean. The air conditioning was leaking and not working when we arrived and the hotel came and fixed it the following day. The first night was quite warm. On another occasion there was a smell coming through the drains to our apartment and again they resolved it quickly- within a day. The beach and pool were beautiful and the service and price for items at the pool and beach were reasonable. All chairs are included and filled up by about 10:30 or so. The beach was quite clean as was the pool. The good at the restaurant was quite good and plentiful. It did cater to German tourists as many of the signs were in German. In fact we noticed that most of the people staying here are German tourists. The grill station was great! I wish there were more Greek dishes but all in all I liked the food. My only complaint is that water and soft drinks are not included. I had a half board (breakfast and dinner included) reservation and to be charged for water felt like a money grab. These things should be included. I understand excluding alcohol but water and soft drinks or juice doesn’t make sense. I would prefer the room and board be slightly more expensive but include these items. We had a lovely stay at the Corissia Beach hotel but would likely not stay again unless they changed the drink policy at dinner and the towel policy. It just left a bad impression."
Pilot Amphora Boutique Hotel "Adults Only"
"What a gem of a hotel this is. Small, intimate, adults only. We arrived in the early hours of the morning to a warm welcome from the night concierge who showed us to our room and got us a snack. The next day we awoke after a restful sleep on a comfortable bed, better able to take in our surroundings which were lovely. All the meals were delicious. Great cooking from the chef and kitchen staff. We were half board and enjoyed an a la carte menu each night. With tasty breakfasts in the mornings. Eggs were cooked to order, so fresh each day. On the mornings we had to leave early for day trips, we were given a packed breakfast. I can truly say the staff are exceptional. Polite, helpful and do their best to make the stay a memorable and relaxing one. The manager goes out of his way to make sure all goes well throughout the stay. He and the table staff ensure they get to know your personal preferences so that coffee is always as you like it! We didn’t get all the names but thank you to Panos, the manager, Nanos, Dinos, Irene and Menia. Also to the chamber maids who looked after our room. Even my nightwear was neatly folded. Fresh water each day and toiletries as needed. We made good use of the pool which is a reasonable size and kept clean. We also visited the sister hotel located next to the beach. A shuttle service is provided between the two hotels . We opted to walk back along the beach which took about half an hour to forty minutes on the day we went to the Pilot beach. On some evenings there was entertainment. Saturday and Sunday the music was provided by a young couple, with beautiful singing by the young woman across a range of musical genres from jazz to pop. The village itself is pleasant to walk around, with plenty to see and explore. It is a good place from which to explore this area of Crete. The one word to sum everything up is EXCEPTIONAL and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you for a memorable holiday."
Harmony Boutique Resort - Adults Only
"My son and daughter in law are staying at the Boutique Resort hotel for their honeymoon. I requested in advance a tropical fruit platter, cheese board with crackers and chutney and cake to be delivered to their room the next day after their arrival. They did not disappoint . It was all beautifully presented and had a card with a message for them that I had requested. Both my son and daughter in law said it was really nice. I would like to say a big thankyou to Danny for sorting everything out as I had asked and to all the staff involved in making it happen. On request they can send a list of the services they provide. It was very simple to pay, they send a link. No trouble at all. Definitely recommend using this service 👏🌟"

"We had a wonderful week at the Athena. Loved the quiet location just a short walk from the shops, tavernas, square and beach. The apartments are top notch, with generous size balconies and comfortable, modern patio furniture. The Athena is spotlessly clean, everything is in very good condition and well maintained. The pool is a real asset, set as it is, in peaceful gardens. We found Matina and her son to be such lovely hosts; warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming. We would definitely recommend!"

"This "hotel" is a total fabrication. It has none of the facilities it shows on its website. Please, please check the majority of the reviews and the evidence in the photos. I am amazed that certain holiday companies are still selling holidays here. The only good reviews are put on by staff. Georgioupolis is beautiful and well placed for buses to resorts. Choose your accommodation carefully."

They loved the pool from the first moment, and the staff were patient, cheerful, and genuinely kind with them. "Beautiful ambiance. Lovingly decorated. Lots of thoughtful details. Very clean, excellent communication with the hostess! Friendly, helpful, and always available. Very clean bathroom, shower with shower gel and shampoo. Towels changed every two days, and cleaning was also done daily! Should you need anything, you'll get it immediately, even outside of the regular schedule. Beach towels (4)! Welcome gift of fruit and wine. Very comfortable beds. Overall, truly top-notch. Shaded balcony, very pleasant in high temperatures. Excellent air conditioning. Great Wi-Fi. Smart TV. Perfect soundproofing. Located right on the square. Lovely atmosphere. Beach 250m away. Many good restaurants right on your doorstep! Everything as pictured on the website. Up-to-date photos. We wholeheartedly recommend it."
