My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Schopenhauer recently during the Belgium leg of our Benelux trip. We stayed in the ground floor suite with the adjoining outdoor space and private hammam. I found it to be an extremely relaxing, cozy, and romantic space. Even though you're basically right in the middle of the city, stepping into this room felt immediately like walking into your own little private oasis. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was beautifully decorated. The outdoor shower and hammam was a lovely and invigorating way to start the day. I also very much appreciated the welcome packet filled with restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. I found the price of the room to be very reasonable as well for what you receive.

Zeer rustige gezellige redelijk luxueuze kamer ingericht met stijlvolle kunst. Comfortabele badkamer en zeer correcte gastheer/vrouw. Kamer met zicht op binnentuin, weinig inkijk. Ruime in- en uitchecktijden, goede communicatie.

De man aan de telefoon was zeer vriendelijk en de locatie was goed maar verder niet zo'n goede ervaring. Het bed zat half in de grond, geen douche, wel een bad dat ook in de grond zat. Mijn man had moeite met de design lavabo waardoor er water op de grond kwam. Het koffiezet apparaat was beschimmeld, heel vies. Hij heeft niemand gezien van de b&b, wel gehoord.

Ce charmant AirBnB nous a offert un séjour hors du temps. L'accueil de l'hôte, Erik, fut parfait : nous avons facilement récupéré les clefs, tout était propre et agréable, Erik nous a fourni de nombreux conseils et adresses sympathiques dans Gand. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par une cour intérieure offrant verdure et tranquillité et par une très grande douche à l'italienne. Nous recommandons vivement !
