Hotel-Restaurant Horizon ATH-Lessines

This is an excellent hotel. The staff are lovely and work very hard. Despite being rather short staff they smile and are most helpful Thenfood in the restaurant was good, desserts are super. Rooms were clean and tidy aircon worked well. Thankyou

Stayed 3 nights as part of a coach trip. A little out of the way and so close to the motorway that you could read the gantries but quiet and a really good place to stay. Rooms clean, comfortable, well appointed and with tea and coffee making facilities. Ate in the restaurant one night and the food was good. Breakfast variety excellent. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

Stayed at this hotel with my family and the best part of this hotel stay was getting back on the bus to leave it ! We arrived at the hotel as a family of 4 only to be split into 2 rooms 1 on level 1 and one on level 3 , my wife's room on level 1 smelt of cigarette smoke and made all there clothes smell awful , we told the staff and they never even cleaned to room just gave them a 5 euro voucher which would not ever get my wife and my daughter a soft drink each from the bar !! Regarding the breakfast it consisted of 4 hot items , bacon which was never there , runny scrambled egg and beans and frankfurter sausage that was cold , there was never and plates or cups and we had to keep cleaning our own.table when we arrived in the morning it was so so understaffed , the toilets near the restaurant were not cleaned for 3 days and were filthy dirty , it blows my mind how this hotel has a 4 star rating and I would never return back here again !!

A lovey well appointed hotel and very helpful friendly staff, excellent buffet style breakfast , and a nice restaurant, nice rooms , couldnt ask for more, it was however away from the town itself, keycard for room access and a lift to get to upper floors

Super hotel. very highly recommended. Excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble. cuisine was way above average, I was suprised but very please to find one of my favourite dishes on the menu, Skate fish which was cooked beautifully with delicate spices I believe, my friends in my party had never tried this before but did so on my recommendation and they too had the dish again. Although the hotel was close to an industrial estate. there was never any noise from traffic, so I imagine this had been thought through carefully and probably insulated against noise In conclusion I can highly recommend this hotel and would be more than happy to stay there on my next Battelfield tour.

I would start with the positive side. Friendly staff at reception when checking in, nice room, good bed. Sounds good so far, but then....We were going to a concert and had hoped to eat at 18:00, but the restaurant only opened at 18:30, ok that gave us just enough time. Friendly waiter in the restaurant. We ordered and he brought us a mini soup to start with. That was the first sign really, the soup was hardly warm. My husband ordered vol u vent, it was also hardly warm and he said very bland tasting. I ordered a burger horizon and had asked for it to be well done!! It was so raw, I wouldn't have been surprised had it run off of the plate. I don't eat raw meat!!!! I couldn't ask it to be cooked more as it was coated in cheese and sauce. I tried to eat the edges, but even that was so raw, I managed a little, but had to leave the rest, my husband doesn't mind raw meat and he ate most of it. It was of course also almost cold as it had obviously been just quickly turned in the pan, so how could it be warm? The chips were ok and the salad was nice and fresh. The burger for me was not edible. After the concert we returned to the room. It was hot, we tried the aircon, but it did nothing at all. We opened the window, but of course had to close it again due to the traffic noise. Sleep? Not much it was just too hot. Sorry, although our first impressions were good, it was not what we expected at all. The breakfast was however good. I can't imagine staying there again, and certainly not eating there again.

I went with a group of LGBT veterans to visit the WWI battlefield sites. They were long, tiring emotionally and physically. It was always nice to return to the hotel to a nice warm welcome. The staff were always friendly and helpful and additionally patient, esp with me and not being able to work out the room key lock! The rooms were very comfortable and it was so difficult not to be tempted to just fall onto the big soft beds when you get back, and not get up again. The bathrooms are good and the showers very good and powerful. Absolutely no complaints there. As we were a group of veterans, at the end of the evening it was always nice to to sit in the comfortable bar area, and discuss what we had seen that day. As all ex military of course a lot of military chat and also discussing the lives of the young lads who fought in the battles, and those that died, realising the similarities between them and us. The bar staff were always busy and attentive to our requirments for alcoholic beverages so that we could reminince. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. you felt the staff were welcoming you home at the end of a long day

After just having spent four nights in this hotel, I can but only leave a glowing report. The hotel - particularly the reception, lobby area - is a spacious, clean and bright, welcoming environment, for which the often weary (from travel) guest to arrive into. The reception staff, who are all extremely professional and friendly - and who are all gifted with the quality of being able to multi-task - due to their ability to effortlessly and seamlessly segue between their reception duties and their covering of the bar, especially of an evening. Cumulatively the customer service provided by all of these hard working staff, including the chefs, waiters, night porters, and the hotel cleaners - who keep the hotel immaculate - is way beyond reproach. The rooms are very clean and cosy. The food is delectable, and comes with a reasonably good choice of menu. The bar is well stocked with a plethora of different nectars to wet the whistles of the aforementioned weary, or for those merely seeking a relaxing drink, in the cheery and warm surroundings of the snug bar. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in this hotel again. Moreover I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this lovely part of Belgium.

Nice hotel with large comfortable rooms and the reception, bar & restaurant staff always very friendly and efficient. Great selection to choose from at breakfast and a good choice of beers, including local ones at the bar.
