Our 2 hosts, Stephanie and Morgan, could not have been more thoughtful or kind. We were surprised the rooms were a short way from the main hotel- but in the end loved the calm, comfortable location. It is a perfect spot to experience Monet’s home and gardens and the beauty of Giverney.

I spent one night at this charming hotel down the street from the entrance to Monet's Garden. My room was on the ground floor and had a large tub. (If you want a room with a shower instead, make sure your request it!). The room was quiet and the bed very comfortable. I had also booked dinner and it was everything I could have hoped for. As a solo traveler, they provided me with a large stuffed teddy bear as my "date". I thought that was such a cute idea. The food was delicious and I can't give it enough accolades. The wait staff was also amazing. I had arrived by train in the town of Vernon - about a 15 minute taxi ride from the hotel. When I got dropped off, I booked a ride with this same driver to take me to the train station the next afternoon. I needed to catch the only train running on Sunday afternoon back to Paris in order to catch my international flight the next morning. Fast forward to Sunday afternoon - no taxi appears! By the time we knew that the taxi wasn't going to come, it was too late to book another one. This is when hotel staff showed just how fantastic they are. The lovely lady at the front desk interrupted a staff meeting and the evening pastry chef volunteered to take me to the station in his own car. He got me to the station with 3 minutes to spare! This hotel gets a six star rating from me and I look forward to staying there again!

One night wasn’t enough and I look forward to coming back! This is a charming, small hotel in easy walking distance to Monet’s gardens. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful - I would’ve loved to have just stayed a few days and pretended to be mistress of the manor! The rooms are clean, charming and well-sized. I stayed in the top floor suite of the main house and it was absolutely lovely. The breakfast is to die for! They bring you a picnic basket with all of your selections to your room - I ate every bit of it. Truly delicious! The restaurant was booked full and we enjoyed our dinner.

My husband and I spent one night at the hotel and wish we could have stayed longer. The property has such a surfeit of charm, you could practically overdose on it, though happily it’s not at all twee or pretentious. The gardens and public spaces are lovely and our suite in the main building was gorgeous, clean and modern, yet still cozy and exceedingly comfortable. The bathroom was very well equipped with a walk-in shower and luxurious soaking tub. Excellent towels, bathrobes and slippers, high quality toiletries and hair dryer. It’s everything you could hope for in an intimate French country inn. There’s free parking and you can walk to Monet’s house and gardens and the pretty town. The entire team was welcoming, congenial and helpful. We arrived very early and they graciously stored our bags and brought them to our room so they were there once we accessed the suite. I’ll review the restaurant separately, but our advice is to dine there whether you stay at the inn or not.

The three course meal we chose was so pretentious, flavours that weren’t matched just a random collection of uninspiring nibbles. The taster canape was lovely but the luke-warm water on the tomatoes spoiled them. The lobster was tough and decidedly chewy. The Chicken was delicious though. The oyster ‘eyeball’ left me needing a glass of water to remove the taste. The rice pudding taster was left on the side uncovered and was an inedible lump of goo. There were flies in the restaurant. At €100 per person I was not impressed.
