I can sum up this location with one word “AVOID”. Other reviews will comment on the rooms etc but we didnt even get that far. Booked and paid for in May24, last personal communication from Natalie in Oct 24, only to arrive Dec 24 and be told that there is no longer a booking. I couldn’t even speak with Natalie in person but it was via her elderly Mum on a mobile ( Natalie didn’t answer my calls). Natalie told me she has stopped using the booking agent we had used. They confirmed the account was still active and were not aware of this! Natalie simply said she can’t help and it’s between us and the booking agent. Picture the scene, travelling since 4am, flights to Scotland, busy day and now sitting in the middle of nowhere, in a hire car with the rain pounding on the roof. It’s dark and cold, only to be told the booking you’ve paid for doesn’t exist and”tough” it’s a you problem! No compassion, no offer to sit in the warm whilst we resolve things.. nothing! Simply put out in the cold and left to resolve things ourselves. Don’t take the chance on this happening to you! Avoid and go elsewhere!

This is a must of a stay, nice greeting from Nat the host who explained everything concerning the help yourself breakfast room and informed me of the Wi-Fi passcode and her mobile number if I required anything. The room well, wow is all I can say, mine looked like a converted barn with one wall all the big old sand stone. Well furnished with a table I could use for a work station. Kettle and modern tv on the wall. Nice comfy bed and great en-suite. Honestly 10/10 specially with the price also.

What a lovely stay we had. We were welcomed by the family and they were lovely. The rooms were clean and warm with ensuite bathrooms, a TV and tea / coffee making facilities. The lamp shade was very unusual, as it was made of antlers! The breakfast was nice, with plenty of cereal, toast, croissants and fresh milk. It looks like an old farm, and there were lots of friendly Shetland ponies, rabbits and wildlife in the surrounding fields which made our experience even better.

I stayed here for 5 nights whilst I visited family in the local area. Everything was great, the beds were comfy, the bedroom was spotlessly clean, & welcoming. Amazing place to stay, I will definitely be staying here again!!!

This was a last minute booking for a business conference in Castlecary. The host was very kind and agreed a fair price . Charming little room with own toilet/shower and nice decoractive touches. Appreciated being able to use the kitchen area with microwave and free breakfast items (porridge pots, croissants).

I booked this Bed and Breakfast as I was a witness to a court case at Airdrie Sheriff Court earlier this month. On the day I was supposed to check-in, they cancelled my booking with no warning and the reason on *********** was that I had an invalid card. This was not correct as if my card had been invalid, I would not have been able to book the room as I had done at least a week before, nor was I given an option to change my card details to a 'valid' one to keep my booking. When I tried to ring the number provided, I was put straight through to voicemail (which has about 20 seconds of unnecessary silence before the beep) and never received any reply whatsoever. Luckily, the court managed to provide me with last minute accommodation, otherwise I would not have been able to fulfil my legal requirement to attend court. I would not recommend anyone to book thus place as you may risk all of your holiday plans to be inexplicably cancelled for no reason.
